LOL. I know this thread is probably very useless.
I was watching Omwf again last night and i saw in the background of Xanyas song 'I'll never tell' at least 7 nodding dogs, i think there might of been eight, Lmfao!

there is also 5 cars, obviously they're Xanders, but what is with the nodding dogs?

I've wondered who collected them too. I figured the cars were his, but some of the things in their apartment is odd. Like wheres all his geeky memorabilia?
 
I used to have a nodding dog. I found it so amazingly cool; I was about five and was amazed by it.

Totally not the point, but I felt the need to say it anyway. I can imagine Anya being the one to collect them to be honest, one of her strange little ways since becoming human. She'd probably think collecting something would make her more human; and maybe that just happened to be nodding dogs. 😛

I can see Anya collecting them. She did have a soft spot for puppies
(remember in "Beneath You", she was sad that Nancy's Yorkie had been eaten by Ronnie, the big worm-monster?)
... I can totally see her being goofily amused by the nodding dogs. 🙂
 
Yeah, I could see Anya as the type to collect those little dogs. The cars were definitely Xanders. Remember in The Zeppo when he was admiring his uncle's classic car? He got to borrow it for the day and he was so stoked.
 
I love watching eps and looking at the stuff in the background. I was always wondering where I could find the pics of Buffy and her friends that you could see all over the Summers' house...
 
They probobly sold them on Ebay as props. Still, every once in a while something shows up on there from the show. I saw a skull prop from Spike's crypt on there not too long ago.
 
What do you guys call this thing Xander's cars and Anya's nodding dogs are on? It's not called a headboard, is it?

And wow, so many newspapers in there!
 
Yeah, I don't like how their bed is close to the wall. Maybe Xander usually fell off the bed while he was sleeping and that's the solution. Instead of falling, he turned to hug Anya. 😀
 
Omg, never noticed that. I think the nodding dogs are Anya's, I can totally imagine her collecting those. It that... a lavalamp?
 
That's a neat find, I also never would have noticed that before! Think you guys are right that the dogs are probably Anya's, and I'm almost positive that the cars would be Xander's. The set creators actually did a pretty good job of making a believable living space: old newspapers, random stuff in the corner, and yeah I think that is a lava lamp! 😀
 
Lava lamps rock. And yes, I can totally see Xander feeling the need to have one in his "bachelor pad", just like the beaded curtain he had in the basement apartment at his parents' house. 😀

Obviously Anya found it embarrassing or obnoxious and *requested* that he put it away.
