As the titles ask, would you be able to kill a man, on that one vital moment, could you bring yourself to pulling the trigger?

PS: If you think this thread is over the edge rather then on it, don't comment, don't open it, file your complaints elsewhere (staff)

I do agree, it depends on the situation. I do think I could if I had to. I think most could if necessity called.

Anyway it would all depend on the situation and the frame of mind your in... Why should it be a trigger you pull? Its like me saying, my best friend is dieing from some unknown disease its crippling his/her and his/her final decision before his/her mind went was that I should help him/her fulfil their wish to arrange an assisted suicide in a country where it was legal... by helping grant this final wish wouldn't I myself be implicated as one of the hands that did the deed? Could I live with myself if I stepped over that line even if it was at the request of my best friend....

Or another situation, I'm having so many homicidal thoughts at the moment, I'd kill all the people that are making my life hell... not because they want to but because they can and I'm the easy target... its not out of any real concern, it's out of spite, imagine how degrading it is to explain that 'Oh I'm late because I went to the loo...' then getting a filthy look off your boss who goes for 3 - 5 cigarette breaks everyday without reprocussion... If only I knew I could get away with it, then I probably would... but again my mind and soul would suffer because of my actions, not to mention the ripple effects, these people have children, families etc etc etc

Every action has a consequence and if it came down to the crunch then I'd have to say no... I might refer you to UK TV series called 'Killer Net' Ally.... you'd probably like it... understand your question a touch more.

I suppose everyone says or thinks about killing someone at some stage... after a heated arguement, when you're alone and noone is around.... its human nature to feel... hate, compassion, disgust, love, passion... at the end of the day it all comes down to emotion... a woman/man kills their partner in a jealous rage it's a crime of Passion... it all comes down to state of mind and empathy/emotion.... 😀

I'm gonna get my coat now...

Not sure how to take the Ally.... 😕 I find the topic okay for now but debates will be spawned from it... so be warned... I shall be watching MWU HAHAHAHA 😛 😀 Just remember we're here for a reason... to keep the boards spick and span, I've probably taken that the wrong way but if I have, you have permission to slap me this ONCE 😛

i think so, it would depend on the situation but i'm pretty sure given the "right" situation i'd do it

I'm with everyone else. So many things to take into account on something like this. Conditions, situation, etc, etc....

I think that i could maybe kill someone in self defense, or if i was defending someone else, but thinking about crimes of passion and the like, i'm not sure if even then i would be able to do it. I just don't think that i've got the will power to do something like that.... When it all comes down to it, i'm a whimp.

Deffinately an interesting topic.

It's pretty cut and dry with me. To immediately protect the lives of my lady love, family, and friends, I'd kill many.

In the performance of my job duties.....protecting the money I help transport on any given day, I'd also kill, no problem.

Yes I could, there doesn't have to be a reason to it I could kill any random person and just pull the trigger. I wouldn't need any special conditions, just the weapon and the person. I also know that my soul or mind wouldn't suffer, the only thing I would be worried about is going to jail, therefor I most likely wouldn't to it unless the conditions were at a set point. Jail isnt such a pretty place and it would only be dumb to ensure yourself a seat.

If I was protecting myself, family or friends, then I would definately kill. With me the problem would be actually hitting the target...lol

to protect myself or someone i loved then yes...if in war with no choice to be there then yes...blatent muder with no reason or self preservation then no

If it was self defence and i had no other choice, yes, but for any other reason definatly not

Random Thoughts.

The other day a Rat scurried into an open window, and I was presented with the option, of shushing it out the window, or bashing it's brains in.

I shushed...

Could you shoot Usama Bin Laden?

Have you ever shot a squirrel? They twitch. Their little hearts bang away, desparately hanging onto that last breath. The eyes stare blankly in one direction until the light of life leaves them. In your stupid youth, out hunting with your buddies, you can easily shoot a squirrel, just because it seems like it might be cool at the time, but if you're an average, (what we'll call) right-thinking individual, it's unlikely, you'll ever shoot a second one.

If you walked into a room packing heat, and your significant other was being raped, would you:

a) Shoot him dead?
b) Tell him to stand up, and blow his balls off?
c) Tell him to stop, then phone the police?

What about mercy killing, euthanasia; could you do that?

Could I kill a man? I used to think "Yeah", if the situation required it" -- easily.

In the course of living life however, I've seen stuff. Stuff that makes me less likely to puff out my chest, and say "Sure I could". I honestly don't know, if I could ever under any circumstances kill someone, or not. I know, I never want to find out the answer to that question.

If a rat was in my room I wouldn't want to squash it cause I would get brains on my hands and on the floor, eeew...As for a squirrel, well I havent shot one but I've shot birds etc and I would do it again.

And when it comes to Osama, yes I could shoot him. But I would most likely be killed before I could pull the trigger.

I can understand that most people would have a hard time killing someone in any situation regardless of what they say, it doesn't matter if it requires it. While someone is there, the facts differ from the reaction, their hands may tremble and the muscles wont respond to the wish to pull the trigger.

Mercy killing, well I most likely could, if its a friend of mine or so and they seriously are suffering I would shoot em. If its an enemy of mine? Well I would just stand there and laugh at em most likely.

I don't know what euthanasia is though.

Euthanasia .......well its like when your dog is sick/hurt and you put him to "sleep". Sometimes people do it to other people illegal or not.

To clearify, you can make up your own circumstance, in which one you would and in which you wouldn't, it's that exact thing that seemed fascinating to me, how easy would it be?

Can't agree more ... only reason I don't do it, is to protect myself form jail, but I wouldn't feel guilty about releasing someone from his misery.
