Something the Ferg says got me thinking.
I was shocked to read 'most people would choose OMWF as their best episode'.
What i wanna know is, Is this true?
I like it, id say its a really really good episode, but It is nowhere near the best.
 
lol, I was like, "Er go the flaming!" But I guess BB is a lot more respectable than the other forums I use... lol.

I do, in fact, think OMWF is the best episode ever. I start to think abour The Pack, the Zeppo, Hush, The Body, etc and I think... Damn, these are amazing episodes, but OMWF just demolishes them. Plus, I'm a sucker for musicals.

Are you kidding? Have you SEEN the Body? THAT was the best ever. No other show had me like that one.
However, the best ever musical I've seen (or at least tv musical) would be this one, by far.
 
I love Once More with Feeling - I would rate it in the top three best episodes, but 'Best' is pretty subjective. Like 'favourite' it is very personal.
 
I think it's a great episode.

Having said that though, I never have 'favourite' episodes or 'best ever' episodes. There are definately episodes I like over others, but there are so many that are good for totally different reasons which makes it really hard for me to ever pick one 'best' or even understand how anyone else can just pick ONE episode that they like over all the others.

I do enjoy OMWF, though 😀
 
Nope, it's not the best. It's not bad either, but there are just some other episodes I like better.
 
OMWF is one of my favourites, but 'tis not the best. That honour goes to The Body. I would have to say that The Body is probably the best hour of Television I have ever seen. And I've seen Two Cathedrals, the West Wing episode.

I won´t compare the two but mentioning tWW deserves some karma.
The best? I can never decide on what is the best. I just love OMWF. I don´t love "The body", it makes me feel sick. BUT the fact that it does make me feel that way shows how great of an episode it really is. It´s always (at least for me) hard to seperate favourite from best. So I don´t have a real answer to give at the moment.

That's the thing. I feel The Body is the better episode in terms of writing, direction, and acting, but it still makes me feel all kinds of bad. Oh, and you can have some WW karma too!

I voted Yes. I think this episode is awesome! The best for me 😉

And about The Body i don't think it's better than OMWF.. but that's just my opinion.
 
It's definitely one of the best 5 (I never made a full ranking for my faves, though) but I can immediately think of at least one ep I consider better: "Becoming II"
 
It's not the best, it's such a departure from the series that while it's enjoyable, it's not fair to really say that it's the best because it doesn't cover all of the bases. A best episode would be something like Passion, that sums up conclusively what Buffy is.
 
What is it that people like about this one so much? I mean, okay, the songs are fun and I just love to sing along but that shouldn't push it that high up, episode wise.
 
I would say it's the best out of sheer watchability. It was the first episode I watched and I think it's one of the few that you can watch without knowing anything about the show and still enjoy it. It's a complete departure and amazing for what it is. As for the other episodes mentioned, I'd have to agree, The Body is an excellent episode, and always makes me feel queasy and my chest ache. It's an amazing episode, but for a first time viewer, I don't think it would pack the same punch as OMWF does. Just my two pennies
 
I absolutely love it. When I first heard Joss was thinking about doing a musical ep, I almost literally prayed it would happen. And it's safe to say it went beyond my expectations! 😀 I loved the story, and some of the actors REALLY surprised me with their vocal talent and dancing ability. 😀 I'd say it's my favorite over all. 🙂
