oooo i loved it but then i guess that's because i love musicals

they even got the buffy humor through...i loved how buffy went outside to check if it was just the scoobies under the spell and there was that bunch of people singing aboot the mustard LOL ::rolf::
Once more with feeling is more then just great it's the best Buffy episode (ok one of the best) I got a theory is great particularly Anya's part. I love Spike's song and walk throug thhe fire

So great that.......

I know the songs by heart. I listen my musical CD of Buffy at least one time by day.
In English the songs are very good but in French it's dullllllllllllllllllllllllllll and it's very bad. But I keep watching the musical episode in English on my DVD PLAYER.

Once again, Joss Whedon shows what can be done with in a single episode of TV (okay, it went over by eight minutes, but life is imperfect).

By the time this show aired, nearly every sci-fi/fantasy series had tried a musical episode. This episode is an actual musical that fits in in the Buffy mythology and moves the story forward. Plus the songs can be taken as personal athems for the characters. Who doesn't think of Spike without thinking of 'Rest In Peace'? Of Tara without thinking of 'Under Your Spell'?

The singing was great by some, good by some, but you have to give kudoes to the entire cast for having the guts to try. My favorite singers were James, Tara, Anthony, Emma and Nick (their duet was funny and touching). I love Tara's song to Willow (cause I'm a hopeless romantic and it is an unabashed love song), Spike song and Giles song, especially when it segues to the duet with Amber.

And the acting is, as always superb. From Willow's reaction to Buffy's revelation, to the obvious pain Giles and Tara are feeling when they realize have to leave (my only complaint about the episode is that it's such a downer and the signal the entire group is going to fall apart).

Buffy's best ep? No, but definately one of the top five the series ever did.

I thought it was an amazing episode, I loved how Joss wrote this beautiful music and lyrics and combined it with such intense symbolism that the episode jumped right up into the "best of Buffy" on my list. I think I watched this one about a hundred times and it never fails. It is a wonderful piece, only to prove there are no places where Joss can't go.

My favorite episode... Definately... Wow!!

I'm a drama-student/future drama-teacher... So I appreciated the Musical... Plus, it was a different idea... And I really think it was a pivotal point to every thing with all Buffy characters.. Xander and Anyas truth about their feelings towards getting married... Willows betrayal of Tara... and her willingness to do anything to fix it... although the wrong thing... Dawn lonliness in the group... Giles battle with Buffy being an adult now... and Buffys... well... Heaven deal... So yea... It started out cute and cuddly... and then... BOOM... Secrets out!!

Loved It!

I think the eps great! I only watched the ep for the first time today and it was amazing!! :flower:

i thought it was a great ep! it was different from kicking demons but it was like a musical! :jumping40

I voted Great, even though it was better than great... I mean out of all the epsidoes in the complete series thats one of my top five...

It's really a great episode. The colors, the sets, the clothes, everything is so beautiful. The choreography in combination with great filming makes it a masterpiece.

I've listened a lot to the soundtrack, and still isn't tired of it and I hope that I never will be. I often listen to it on the way to work, and I always get the feeling that I'm in a musical, and I have to controll myself not to start singing and dancing on the streets. ::blush::

I loved it, the best stand alone episode. It was something new, and something Joss had always wanted to do. I memorised all the songs too, and bought the CD and DVD, lol!

Woah??!! Did this question even have to be asked!!! OMWF was one of my fave episodes of all time!!!! :biggrin2:

The songs are wicked, and the storyline rules. Most of them, with the exception of Tara and Giles and Spike, can't sing a note, but they pull it off so well, so it doesn't matter. 🙂

My little cousins Shannen and George love Buffy since they saw this episode, and George is 3, and Shannen is 6, Lol. Can you believe that?? They both know all the songs word for word, as do I. This is definatley one of the best episodes.

It was awesome, it worked so well and they were all great singers and the songs were just pure genius, as we all no Joss is! You know what you have made me want to watch it!

I loved it to, i know every single song of by heart and i used to watch it every morning before i went to school because it would wake me up, except i'd end up singing it all day, my favourite is either Buffys and everyone elses song near the end (i touch the fire and it freezes me(also love that metaphor)) or taras song to willow because amber benson is such an amazing singer!!!

I love Once more with feeling i watch it when i need cheering up cos i love singing along to it. I also have the cd of the show so i love the songs.
