Does anyone else realize this , but In all the songs they sing , they all foreshadow what is to come in the rest of the season!!! Anya and Xanders song: Anyas says something about marrage and a mans btrayal and them hiding. Giles: About leaving and hes no longer needed!!!

hmmm, you mean as if thewriter of the show thought,hey lets show the inner fears ofthe characters, and gave a slight previewof whats tocome.....wow...Joss is clever,...hehe..just teasing you know i love ya man
Tara Leaving...
Dawn "unnoticed", and makes the wish in "Older and Far away"...
Spike talking about how buffy couldnt tell the ones she loves abot her feelings(meaning heaven, i believe, not that she had feelings for spike), annd later, she does sleep with him...
buffy says "one by one they turn from me" which happens in season 7....
Willow says "it clearly could get serious before it's passed", which happens with her magick...
 
yeah I had noticed this too... i was like what when i had watched the episodes after this episode so it is pretty cool how they writers had done it like this ... good pick up Cordelia Chase*!!! 😎
 
But wasn't that the entire point? The songs were representing everything that the Scoobies were feeling inside but trying to keep hidden. It wasn't so much about foreshadowing as it was about them being forced to listen to their own inner fears and deal with what they were really feeling, rather than continue to hide it inside.

In each case the later storylines reflected the fact that they had all revealed the truth to each other which, like i said, was what the episode was really about.
 
I noticed the irony of the song "If we're together" in the Medley "I have a theory"-"Bunnies"-"If we're together". The irony being that they are together at that point in the season but as the season draws to a close they aren't-Tara is dead, Giles is in England, Anya returned to the vengeance fold, Willow turned against everyone.
 
yeah dude, and hey at the end of ep tara does leave willow.... 🙁 .......
i totaly love that episode ( bar tara leavin willow of course)
 
Yes i love how the musical pretty much talks about the rest of the show its great this right just proves that the writers and joss are amazing the only thing i hated that got told was about tara 🙁
