This is one of my all time favourite episodes of BTVS, just wanted to know your views on this one. Should Buffy have sang her heart out and let it slip that she was in heaven, should she have kissed Spike......plus what would have happened if that episode hadn't happened, would Buffys secret have come out anyway, would she and Spike still have shared that tender moment??? :cry3:

Plus, does anyone else find Dawn very annoying in this episode?:eek2:

I watch this episode more than any person really should. I watch it when I'm happy, I watch it when I'm sad, I watch it when I'm sick & I watch it on a cold winter day snuggled up on the couch. It represents everything I love about Joss Whedon compressed into 48mins 33secs, it's funny, heartbreaking, intelligent & beautifully shot.

This is the same reason I love it Joss in a nutshell :)
Of course she should have kissed Spike 😉 Secrets always come out on TV so I'm sure it would've come out anyway. I LOVED how this episode brought all the secrets out. That was the demon's true power, I think. They'd let all these things sort of build up, and now they all came out and it changed everything. Brilliance.

OMWF is an amazing episode!! It really epitomises what Buffy is all about... seems all cheerful and colourful on the surface yet the lyrics and themes are full of pain and hurting. I also find Dawn annoying... couldn't quite figure out why she needed to have such a big part with the dancing but ah well 🙂 the rest of that episode more than makes up for it!! Anyone else sing this around their room in the mirror?!...... No?!....... 😀

I do sing it around my room, thankfully no mirror tho!
Hell yes I run around singing this in my room. Also very loudly and obnoxiously in my car.

I personally find this amusing because when I first watched this episode as a kid, I absolutely hated it and just wanted to stop singing for christ's sake. I'm not sure what was wrong with me. :|

Dawn = annoying. Yes, a thousand times yes!

Otherwise so very much one of my favorite episodes. I like Sweet's song the best, I think he's a terrific character (and oddly sexy despite that whole face thing going on).
Also, haha, come on
Xander: "does this mean... I have to be your queen?"
Sweet: "I think we'll wave that clause just this once."

I love Sweet as well - I keep meaning to try and find other things he's done.

Well unfortunately you won't find much. Hinton Battle is primarily a broadway actor/choreographer. He was the first guy to play The Scarecrow in The Wiz when it opened in 1975 & was cruelly (although understandably, from a commercial stand point) replaced by Michael Jackson for the 1978 movie version. On an interesting note, he did play The Cat in the failed US remake of Red Dwarf(1992), which I kinda want to see now 🙂 Even though I hear it's terrible.

Not exactly on Topic, but I did see mr trick in wicked about 3 times. Random, sorry. He was good.

I def love all the songs! Great ep. Have you guys looked up Anthony in rocky horror? Or repoed?

This and Tabula Rasha are the two biggest reasons I am happy that there was a 6th season! I remember after the first time I watched it I went straight to my computer and looked up the lyrics for all the songs so I could start memorizing them so me and a fellow Buffy fan could interrupt our math class the next day by breaking into song. We didn't even get detention as I think the teacher was far too concerned about our sanity to punish us :smile3:

I'm not crazy enough to burst out into song in public but I have been known to belt out lyrics while sitting on the couch at home alone. 😀 This along with Becoming Pt 2 my all time favorite episodes. You really didn't know if Joss could pull off a musical but he did it with flair. I love all the songs, particularly Sweet's.

Dr. Horrible is another great example of Joss's prowess with musicals : )
I love OMWF because you can watch it anytime, it's freestanding enough not to get me into the trap of having to watch EVERY episode afterwards. ^^

yep love the episode ^_^ "Walk through the fire" is friggin awesome...but I'd have to say my fave is "I'll never Tell" that Xander/Anya bit has me rolling everytime :giggle:

Walk through the fire is amazing. "I hope she fries, I'm free if that bitch dies....I'd better help her out" 😀

Of course Spike and Buffy would have kissed anyway, he gets her stupid horny.

SPUFFY FTW
