Question Once more with feeling!

I absolutely love OMWF, its one of, if not the, best episode out of all 145 Buffy episodes (not counting the unaired pilot.) Wow, I sound like Andrew! lol
I think it would have been nice if Willow had a song, or halved a song though.
I loved Dawn's ballet, and Michelle Trachtenberg is a really good dancer.
My favorite songs are Rest in Peace, Under your Spell, I've got a theory, Walk through the fire and Where do we go...

Amber Benson and Anthony Stewart Head were the best singers, by far. Amber was better then Anthony.

I get Under Your Spell stuck in my head all the time...

And I don't think Buffy had a choice on whether or not to tell them about her being in Heaven. I think it was involuntary. Listen to what Sweet sings in his duet with Dawn.
 
The important thing was to set up not just this show, but the rest of the season, the rest of the series. The episode before, the episode after. Because it was very important to me not to say, "This is a special event." And that's why I was disappointed that I couldn't bring it in on time, because I didn't want to say, "Look! We're better than a TV show!" I wanted to say, "You can do all of this in an episode of television. It just depends on how much you care." And because I think one of the other things about musicals is everybody saying, "Oh, look! We're taking you outside the world of television. We're better than the world of television." Which of course drives me crazy. I love TV. I love what you can do with it. And to be able to go this far emotionally, and be this silly on a regular old episode of television "“ albeit eight minutes over "“ is a way of saying, "This is just an episode. This is just what we do. It's not better, it's just TV in all its glory." That's a great quote VisionGirl, and it's one of the reasons why this episode is such a spectacular triumph.

Its really easy to do quirky, gimmicky episodes and go "Look how clever we ish!"

But Once More With Feeling succeeds in being not just a fantastic televison event, but also a pivotal turning point in the entire narritive arc for the season.

That's my favorite thing about it. How it addresses EVERY single story arc it possibly could.
Nah, I don't find Dawn annoying in this episode. I find her very easy to watch, easier than normal. Though I actually DO like Dawn.

She should have kissed Spike, I'm glad she did. Although if she wasn't going to ever love him it was a bit unfair to get him all worked up. But then again, she pretty much summed up how she felt in her song lyrics

"This isn't real, but I just wanna feel"

That's all it was, maybe if he listened. 🙂

And when you sing like that, you'll notice it's impossible to stop things you don't want to say from coming out. That's why the whole heaven thing happened. She didnt' have a choice. If that hadn't happened though Joss said he would have put it in dialouge but he really didn't want to.
 
I love this episode so much. It was such a shock when I first started watching it, like what the hell is going on everyone is singing! Love the way it progresses the plot but even without it I reckon Spuffy was only a matter of time. Plus she had to let them know about being in Heaven at some point in order to move on and stop moping.

Best song for me was Under Your Spell, beautiful!

I agree about the whole letting them know she was in heaven part. It had to happen eventually, and I'm so glad it happened in this episode.

Under Your Spell is the best song imho

I still hate Dawn though hahaha
 
Ok my thoughts on this episode:

first of I wanna say how much this is one of my favorite episodes of tv history. I really loved how Joss was able to take his non-musical show and make it one for one episode. He did such an amazing job, he really is a great writer. The music was catchy and made you sing a-long.
I also like how he had buffy come out about her being in heaven in this episode. The whole singing monster makes you sing till your emotions come bleeding it out, I liked that. Made the episode feel alive and really touch home on some bases, if you know what I mean.
Once More With Feeling will in my eyes be apart of tv history for ever. Never have I seen someone take a regular(well as regular as you can get on a hell-mouth,lol) show and make it into a musical that was so touching and just amazing. Joss is brilliant and Once more With Feeling shows just that!
 
I sing the whole episode during dish washing. Passes the sucky time better. My favorite part is the ending (I'm a Spuffy so what else?)
 
Dawn is annoying all the time. She can't not be annoying.

Eventually everything would have come out anyhow. I never agreed with Spiffy.

I feel bad for Buffy when she gets all her memories in Tabula Rasa. Remembering Angel, Heaven, Joyce's death, her own two deaths... I wouldn't want that.

OMWF is one I can always watch over and over again. I love it, but I really hate the sneaky Willow twist...

Love this episode! I get high on it!

The best songs are Under Your Spell and that song that they all sing together in the beginning, in the Magic Box.

But honestly when Dawn starts dancing I usually press the ffw button on my remote... 😛

I've Got a Theory/Nothing We Can't Face
I love this episode. Own the soundtrack and like to listen to it in the car when my wife falls asleep on long trips.

Notice the "when" in that statement...it always happens.
 
Amazing episode. Probably my favorite of the show. At least one of my favorites.
I bought the cd too, which I find myself listening to quite often. Puts me in a damn good mood.
My two little brothers watch the show every now and then with me, but because of the cd, they literally know every word to "I've Got A Theory". It's hilarious.

Surprisingly, everyone is a passable singer. Alyson and Nic struggle a bit, but the rest are very good. I'm a sucker for Sarah's voice. I love it.
