Question Once more with feeling!

I love this episode. Own the soundtrack and like to listen to it in the car when my wife falls asleep on long trips.

Notice the "when" in that statement...it always happens.

LOL- well, we know who's in control in the car, don't we? 😉 and it's not the person at the helm!

Have you guys ever done the Sporcle quizzes for OMWF? I hate it how some of the lyrics completely slip my mind, yet when I'm singing with the show I can remember them all. 🙂 anyway, they're lots of fun.

Lol my mom and Brother banned me from playing the musical in the car. Actually they've now banned me from playing ANY musicals in the car lol. I used to play OMWF every time we were in the car lol. They'd get out to go in somewhere and when they'd come back BAM Buffy lol.

Banned from musicals? Not in my car. I sing along and sing to my son Dr. Horrible and Fiddler on the Roof music. My son enjoys hearing Captain Hammer sing and particularly likes If I Were a Rich Man.

I loooove musicals I was playing OMWF and Wicked like nonstop and before that it was RENT over and over lol. So my brother is kind of sick of me and my musicals and my need to loudly sing along with them. 😛

I love OMWF, Wicked, Rocky Horror, Fiddler on the Roof, Jesus Christ Superstar...well, I love musicals.
Ok. Once more than feeling is a great episode. And rest in peace is one of the finer moments of the series. Butttt I dont like it as much as everybody else. I know. a horrible confession. I think i'll be stoned,or perhaps burnt at the stake.

I just...like the episode. I dont feel like its the absoloute best episode of buffy ever like most seem to. I dont know why. It doesnt connect to me as strongly as becoming or the wish or dead things or school hard. And I find that with a few others as well like hush for example. Please dont murder me.

I really hate musicals with one exception... The Simpsons. Matt Groening was the only one who put out a musical I could enjoy.

I now add Joss to the list. Have a great night everyone...time to put on OMWF. 🙂

I LOVE OMWF. LOVE IT.

I'm not even a huge fan of musicals, but OMWF is just perfect. It's heartbreaking if you listen hard enough, but amazing, hilarious, and not trite in the slightest.

Lol, I want to play it for everyone I know! But I've got this weird thing where I think everybody is just a Buffy convert waiting to happen...and since some of the lyrics are super spoiler-y and most of the people in my life haven't seen Buffy (yet), I just keep my OMWF love to myself. 😀 For now...😉

yes i hated dawn i fast foward through her every time. umm i do not think that the gang would have found out her secret if it werent for this episode and i dont think spike would have told anyone about it because he wants her all to himself and if he told she would be pissed and prolly hate him all over again but the fact that only he knew that secret was so special to him (i think so) to think that she would only tell him, it was a great sign that she trusts him and secretly wants to be close to him. so yea i think that if this didnt happen they would still share that tender mo. maybe not at this exact time, i do belive it would happen though...it might have even been a better mo than this one, maybe she would have fell in real love with him if everyone else didnt know her secret 🙁 wishful thinking🙄

i play this for my friends cause i have it on my ipod and they are like WTF IS THIS SHIT?? it upsets me cause they never watched buffy and they just dont understand how amazing it is. i used to think it was cheesy until i really watched it and now im inloveeee with everything about buffy, its so great and OMWF is just perfect 🙂 almost as great as tabula rasasasaaaaa

I think if Buffy had not sang about being in heaven Tara might still be alive... maybe. And if she didn't kiss Spike the years after that would have been a lot easier on her. But the things that happened in Once More With Feeling took the characters a lot of places. It made the characters in Buffy wiser and gave the characters a good personality base.

Agree! OMWF affected the entire series until the very end.
OMWF is television GOLD 😀
for me, its just too amazing, and when i first saw it, and when buffy and spike kissed at the end, I was in shock! I was like WHAT THE HECK??????????
And i was really hoping that buffy would realize she's in love with spike, and spike would be a good vampire, not evil and there would be a happy spuffy 🙂 but i was wrong 🙁
but I still <3 OMWF
My only nitpick is the excuse for the demon being conjured. Xander did it. right...... 🙂

I love this ep! I'm a sucker for musicals in general, so this was the cherry on top of my cheesey life. 🙂

I don't think Buffy could have NOT let it slip - the demon makes them sing everything they feel. If she hadn't had told, she would have imploded during the season. How could you just keep going on pretending that you weren't ripped out of Heaven and pulled back to deal with all the evils on earth?

I loved the Spuffy kiss! I was shocked as all heck, but then again, not so shocked. The two hated each other, then Spike fell in love with her, she kept letting him live...I don't know. I feel it was inevitable that SOMETHING was going to happen.

Just rewatched (again) yesterday.

I love this ep. & the kiss at the end was pretty intense!

I think the secret should have come out & this way Buffy doesnt' have to blame herself for letting them know, since it was Sweet's spell that made her sing it.

Dawn was just being Dawn in this ep - the overly-stereotypical teenager.

Just wondering - what do you think would have happened if Spike hadn't shown up and stopped Buffy (dancing)? Would someone else have? It looks like they're all just standing there watching...?

I think they were too shocked to act. Or maybe they're unable to stop her with singing and dancing ( Tara and Anya, once on the dancing flood, become the chorus) and it was the only way. Spike stops her with a song that expresses his love. Looks like it was the only thing that could satisfy Sweet.
