Just saw the trailer for this film and it looks GREAT! It stars Antonio Banderas, Johnny Depp and Willem Dafoe ( not forgetting Eva Mendes ::drool:: ::heart:: ). Anyone know when the film is out in the UK?
 
this is the one...this is the movie that will keep me satisfied till the matrix revolutions....

this is going to be ill...the first was falkin crazy
 
No Angel, it is to my understanding that the UK release of this movie shall be September 26. (US release September 12).

And Gasm, you probably know this already, but just in case....."DESPERADO" wasn't the first film, rather it was the SECOND film in the now-completed trilogy. The first film was a low budget indie called "EL MARIACHI", which introduced the character now played by Antonio Banderas (the original was played by Mexican actor Carlos Gallardo).

I have this movie on DVD, and if you can find it, you should check it out, it's not a bad flick at all.
 
Didn't Carlos Gallardo play one of Banderas's mariachi pals in "Desperado"?
Is Salma Hayek in the new film?

Salma Hayek is indeed in the new film, sir. She's a sexy woman, that one. Smokin' hot.

And yes, Carlos Gallardo did in fact play one of Banderas' Mariachi buddies...named "Campa" in the film. I can't quite remember his weaponry though....did he have the missile-firing guitar case?

Out 5th September. I wanna see if I can find a copy of El Mariachi to rent and if I like that I might buy this.
 
Ever since we saw the trailer to this movie, my hubby has been annoying the crap out of me about it. He begged me to see the first two, and I have, and despite all of my previous thoughts on the topic, I LOVED them...looks like I've taken all my classes and am now prepared for this movie...looks good.
 
Heh, I remember that Desperado craze in highschool. I was in love with Antonio after Interview With the Vampire. My friend and I bought the Despeado soundtrack and quoted the movie all the time. We were such dorks. Still are. Antonio is hot. I'm excited to see him and Johnny together.

my friends and i used to do that repeatedly in art class...start flamenco dancing right in the middle of class...lol...those were the days...

nah...once i saw that trailer....i had to see that movie...craziest trailer ever....whoever edited that...should be given an award...cause that trailer was ill...i don't know one person that doesn't want to go see that movie after they see that trailer...

Looks like you and my co-worker will be fighting over that statement!! hehe😉 Anyhoo, my co-workers and I are going to see this movie when it comes out on friday. I can't wait. I think that it's going to be so good!!😀 😀
 
oh well any movie with juanito profundo (johnny deep) is good for me...
 
I saw it last night and it was pretty good. I fell asleep for a little while though. hehe😀 😀 I didn't miss much and I enjoyed what I saw. Eva Mendes rocks and Johnny Depp was cool as always.😀 😀
 
i saw the movie and didnt like it all that much, if Jhonny depp or Enrigue Inglasias (sp?) wernt in it Iwouldhave walked out in h a hart beat!
 
I saw this movie over the weekend. I really enjoyed it! Johnny Depp is classic. I had a hard time deciding who was hotter in that movie, Salma Hayek, Eva Mendes, Antonio Banderas, Johnny Depp, Enrique Iglesias or that other sidekick guy......ooooh yum yum
