One Girl In All The World? How Was That Enough?

It makes you wonder that pre-Buffy there was only one slayer in the world and she was basically the only one that is naturally equipped to fight demons and vampires and stopping the end of the world, however my question and gripe about that is who's protecting the world in say other parts of the world. For example Buffy protected the Hellmouth and kept the world from ending in Sunnydale, however is Sunnydale the only place where the world can end? They mentioned a Hellmouth being in Cleveland so how come the world isn't ending in Cleveland there is no slayer there. Or perhaps in Rome there is a Wolfram & Hart in Rome how come the world isn't ending with Rome being the flocal point. I mean for the most part the slayer is based in one state and one city, but there are vampires, demons, evil EVERYWHERE so I'm not getting how the one girl thing worked. But I might obviously just be thinking too much about it lol

Well i've always believed that the Slayer was 'activated' near the immediate crisis then through her Watcher was sent where she was needed(see Kendra).

As for One Girl in all the world, yes the Slayer is only a one off, but she is by no means the ONLY line of defence against the darkness.
We are shown time and again that there are beings both natural and super that fight the good fight in the name of good so its not really that big a deal that only one Slayer is called.

In Buffy Season 7, just before the Watchers' Council building was destroyed, they were in the process of calling in all operatives, most interestingly, "Tactical." That, basically, means soldiers. We know that the Council has at least one "wet team," because they came to Sunnydale to pick up Faith and take her to England. Gunn has his "crew" and there is mention of another similar band of demon hunters in Miami, which would suggest that there are at least several such groups scattered about. Of course, we couldn't forget the Initiative, plus the U S Army team Riley left Sunnydale with, and it stands to reason that if our government has at least two separate groups fighting the supernatural, there are other nations doing the same thing. Should I go on? It's pretty obvious that the demon fighting business is pretty lucrative, and that there are quite a few individuals and groups out there fighting. The Slayer may, as Spike once said, "fight alone," but that hardly means that she is alone in the fight,
