Ok So as all of you or most of you know I"m pregnant... and as some of you may not know ITS A BOY!!!!! Ok Back on topic, I just realized that i have like 100 days till the due date, and honestly the first half of this pregnancy i was fine, I mean heck i didn't feel pregnant and now the baby is constantly moving and its the best feeling ever but honestly... I'm terrified now, I mean I feel like I just got pregnant like it cant be this close to being ready to come. I dont feel ready at all, I mean i'm like freaking out I want the baby and everything its nothing like that its just I'm so terrified i'm not going to be good enough. Like I'm bringing this tiny helpless little person into this really harsh world and i dont know if i'm ready for that I mean I dont want this baby to suffer or go without and i'm terrified I'm not going to be good enough at all...

So My question is too all the moms or dads out there? What was it like when you got this close to the birth of your little baby? What did you have accomplished so far? and Any advice on how to be Physically ready for the baby i mean what did you guys feel that it was best you had as in for the nursery or just to make things easier?

Well, from one pregnant woman to another I gotta say I know exactly how you feel. I have 75 days left till she's born and I keep going through fazes of Mommy-Calm to Teenage-Girl-Style-Panic.

It is worrying, frighteningly so, over whether you're going to be able to look after this tiny, little thing that is entirely dependent on you and the only thing that seems to calm me down lately is rambling to my husband, candy and watching old movies. Honestly, I think it's all part of the package deal. If we didn't worry a little then that in itself would be worrying y'know? As I've been told by friends and family that worrying is almost a permenant state for the parent until the child is never. Just means we care. 🙂 Hehe.

I find focusing on mundane things to do with the baby helps a lot. We've just finished getting the nursery done (I say we, but really I did nothing beyond point out that I really didn't like certain colors), and now I'm ordering hubby around to different rooms to baby-proof the house. Seriously, you never realize how many plugs you actually have until you start filling them with the lose plug-filler things. I know it all seems a bit early, but early is better than later or worse, after. At least according to my Mom anyway and since I turned out pretty well, I'm going to trust her.

As for physically getting ready, there are lots of pregnancy classes to help with that- try looking for some in your area. We have about 1001 here, some are a little too eccentric for my tastes, but others are really good. Personally, I just don't think you can do anymore just right now then just stay healthy- you know try and minimize stress, strenuous activites, clubbing it all night and getting a hangover from alcohol and variety of drugs, you know the usual....😉

Also congratulations on the 'It's a Boy!' news (Mine's a girl, in case you're wondering 😀! Hehe)! Guess we'll both be raising little ones at the same time, huh? Haha 🙂

Yeah i dunno see thats the thing we dont even have a nursery set up... I mean Technically he is living with his mom (Long story) and I with mine with me quitting my job we didnt' get a chance to get our own place yet so we'll be staying with his mom for a while after the baby is born and its like Nothing is getting done no matter how much i freak out, We haven't cleaned the carpets or bought anything and its like we have two cribs avaliable to us but yet we haven't looked at their condition. I mean i'm just terrified that the baby is gonna get here and we wont have a place to put him. Its just really stressful because all i hear from people is "I have so much stuff to give you." But yet I've seen NOTHING! lol

to use a bad pun, baby steps! just do what you can one bit at a time
Hmm, the not-having-a-place yet is problematic I agree, but you said you'll be staying with his Mom for a while after the baby's born? Well if you're going to make any preparations make them there. Totally forget about your Mom's house and focus on his. And take things one tiny step at a time. I know a hundred days seems a very short while away but on the other side of things you've still got a hundred days.
So if you do one thing at a time, bit by bit you'll soon have everything done and you'll find breaking it down in that way is remarkably calming. Like for instance start with those cribs. Look at them, see their condition. Then once you've done that, that's one task done that you don't have to worry about. Then think about the one next thing you could do and just keep doing that.

my closest friend just had a baby girl, who is now my god daughter (she's 3 months old on the 28th) and she and her partner had a heck of a time, they moved house about 3 weeks before little Ella was born so they were even more unprepared than you! But everything turned out ok - because they were so unorganised and unready, we all got together and set up the house while she was in hospital and they came home to it all being done. So hopefully the people around you who are just as excited for the new edition to your family - maybe they will all step up and start to help you guys out and lighten the load.
I'd also reccommend you try and follow up on any offers of stuff that people have suggested to you, that'll help loads, and once you start getting the things from other people you can get a better idea of what you still need to get 🙂

Well a friend of ours actually the baby's god mother (she dont know it yet) lol Has bought the little guy two outfits, plus a towel set (so far), then the rest of the stuff is basically stuff comming from family mostly. We have a few people everytime we see them they are all like Oh theres so much stuff... I guess i'mma get it when we have a baby shower...PROBLEM IS.... My boyfriends mother is actually the one doing it at her sisters house and his mother is one of those people who puts things off till like its almost too late. We have stuff commng from Alabama too from my family down there and its like they have a habbit of never sending things out for like agian ever lol. Its like they have me a bunch of baby clothes and maternity wear that well I have a feeling i'll be unpregnant by the time i get the stuff lol. They also have me a stroller/carseat mix but they want to bring it up here when they come up for the baby and everytime i try to get them to send it before just in case they freak out so its like everyone is excited but at the same time they aren't helping to well lol

Have them send it up before if you can. Tell them you will need to set the stroller up (they require assembly) and you will want to become familar with the carseat and get the little strap cover thingies and set up the carseat base in your car and whatnot. Really the best thing for you to do is just relax. Read the baby books, go to the classes, watch the video if you are brave enough! You will have plenty of time to wash the baby's clothes 70 bazillion times (I seriously washed everything my son got at least 5 times before he was born!). Just PROMISE ME that if you get a used crib from a family member as a gift or whatnot (they aren't bad, that's what I did) that you will do some research before hand and make sure it doesn't have any safety recalls or any hazards. I'm not trying to scare you or anything, it's just really important. .I'm sure you will be fine, and believe me, you will get more stuff than you know what to do with! Congrats and enjoy the last 90 some odd full nights of sleep that you have left to you!!!
