There's a great website called One Perfect Shot, with its description being:

"honoring the best of filmmaking, frame by frame".

They also have a Twitter account and Facebook page which are updated daily.

Anyway, it got me thinking about my favourite shots from movies.

Here's a couple.

My favourite scene is the last scene in the film Queen Of The Damned. All elements are just right as far as I am concerned: how the film ends, the music, the lighting and the cinematography.

The final sequences of Excalibur (Boorman) give me chills, e.g. the hand that reaches up to grab the sword from the lake, Arthur being escorted away from the material realm with the 3 fold muse by his side, the part where Arthur and his men ride off for their final battle, with the shot of Arthur at the head of his retinue of knights with the camera in front of him and to his right a little bit, with life and growth and Spring resplendent everywhere. Everything is swollen with life and over-green and flowers and shit are just shaking from the trees in clouds as they ride by...ah, great shit.
