One Step Closer Of The Day: Yesterday, we told you Nathan Fillion was on board to play Captain Mal again, should Firefly get a second chance. Then, last night on Community, Donald Glover's character demanded it return to air. But that was just the beginning.

Today, Jose Molina, the former executive producer and a writer for the show, said that he's on board for a reboot, tweeting "For what it's worth, I've told him I'd drop what I was doing and follow//Fillion says he'd play Mal again." Hells yeah! Then, writer Jane Espenson tweeted at Jose Molina, "I'm there, if needed." Look, the band is getting back together!

Plus, Nathan Fillion is playing the California lottery in the hopes he'll win enough dough to buy the franchise and release webisodes. Or, if you're not the gambling sort, you can donate money straight to the fan cause at Help Nathan Buy Firefly.

Seriously, Firefly is gonna happen, again. We don't know how, we don't know where, but now we sure as hell know why. Power to the people!

Yeah, but then someone posted today saying that 20th Century Fox were unlikely to sells the rights.

It wouldn't really matter if Nathan managed to raise the money, got the cast on-board, found writers and directors and producers and all that jazz, if Fox aren't willing to sell, the whole idea will go nowhere.

I know Fox probably won't sell the rights 'cause like that EW article says people raising all sorts of money for it would probably re-enforce to them that these rights are valuable and they should keep them. However, I think if enough money is raised Fox will be like "Ok, we're not using this... and we're probably not going to use it... so let's just take the money and run."

It would be AMAZING if this worked though. I mean seriously. It would be the biggest "power to the fans" thing ever.

Unimpressed; if indeed he would manage to procure the rights, they are talking reboot and webisodes. I would not want it rebooted but I would want webisodes even less.

As much as I would love to see "Firefly" return, whether in movie, TV, or web format, I would hate to see it if it meant the end of "Castle."
