One Tree Hill (spoilers)

I love Brooke and Julian too. But does anyone else really not like what they've done to Julian? I seriously can't get over it. When I think about the fact that he was once with Peyton...well he wouldn't have been if that's what he's really like. They've seriously done a total 180 on his character!

Good point. But then again, it would be the first time Brooke and Peyton fall for the same guy 🙂
 
But the point is, he isn't the same guy! lol

When he first came in he's all cocky and arrogant and revells in winding Lucas up. He's ambitious and confident and generally quite awesome. But now, he's a complete momma's boy who has apparently never been able to relate to guys, has zero self-confidence and belief and does the most feminine things EVER. Austin Nichols even makes fun of him!

I miss season 6 Julian! That's the Julian I could see Peyton once being in love with, but this one? No way.
 
I still love Julian, but yes, I miss the old Julian too. I hated him when he first showed up, but then, just like Brooke did, I fell for his witty charm anyway. 😛

He's hilarious nowadays. I love that episode where he's high-fiving everyone so stupidly! LOL But, yes, it does bother me a bit when they completely change a character out of blue.
 
I wasn't a huge fan of him at first I was like 'back away from LP' lol and initially I didn't like how he riled up Lucas. But now I find it funny. And hot that Luke gets jealous! 😛
But there's something missing now. He does still have the cheeky grin but if it doesn't follow some snappy sarcastic comment thrown at someone else, I'm less impressed...lol

Okay, that high-fiving thing I let slide because the WHOLE thing was so freaking hilarious. I showed it to my boyfriend and even he thought it was really funny. I might just have to go and watch it again...

I loved Julian when he first showed up. I loved how he showed up just to wind Lucas up and was so confident and arrogant about it. 😛 I miss his snarkyness.

When Julian and Brook first got together I wasn't to crazy about it. I kind of rolled my eyes and thought that they could have done better for Brook than have B&P same guy triangle again. But, Julian has grown on me and I like him and Brook now. 🙂

I understand that as we get to know characters better we see new sides of them and get to know their different layers, but I wish they hadn't gotten rid of all of Julians old personality traits. I feel like his character has lost his edge. 🙁
 
I don't dislike his character now by any means but I just can't get over how much they've changed his character for no reason and SO drastically.

It'd be like if they brought Chris Keller back and he was Mouth 2.0.

Favourite character? Brooke
Favourite season? S3 & S4
Favourite couple? Was Brooke/Lucas but now I'm all for Brooke/Julian.

My one issue with BL is that it was far too much about Peyton (and the insecurities that sprung from that, which may have been founded upon something very very solid but Brooke made the decision to take him back...). But at the same time, and you can ask soulunsung about this lol, I really do appreciate the BL relationship. Sure I have issues with them and I never saw them as being endgame but I still enjoy them together.

I like how I'm not even in this thread (and I'm not for very good reasons, lol) and I'm still mentioned. 😛 But, since I'm here for a hot minute or two, I will definitely vouch for Flannen on this one as we have or well had been carrying a pretty good discussion regarding all of these possible pairings that came out of this triangle.

I have it on perfect authority that while she may be a very loyal and faithful LP shipper at heart, she also very much has respect and love for the BL relationship as well as Jake/Peyton. 🙂
 
It seems that Brooke has a lot of fans around here.
People I were talking over here usually like Peyton or Haley.
Only me and my friend like Brooke better.
Nice to see that, because Brooke is such an amazing character.
 
Oh Julian...I like him,he's so sweet and kinda feminine..ahahaha. But you're right, they totally turned him around, changed him completely. Maybe that arrogant boy was a facade and now he is himself but I still get mad the writers made him to be with Peyton first. Is it ever possible Brooke & Peyton wouldn't love the same guy? Since Peyton said they were in love..and seriously..seeing Julian now, I can't figure it out. LOL

That is one thing it always seems like they have to make it be about Brooke and Peyton can't just make it one or the other.
Would I call myself a fan of OTH? A little bit. It's certainly not my favourite show but it's one of those bits of fluff that I like.

Favourite character(s): Brooke and Nathan because they are the characters who have developed the most. Nathan's arc both with Haley and with Dan is what I found the most compelling on the show.

Season?: 1-4

Couple?: Naley. No fate, just two great people who aren't perfect who work hard and take responsibility for their relationship.
 
I love OTH. Been watching since season 2 premier. Have seen all up to date eps. I absolutly love the episode your talking about to. The school shooting was an intense moment and showed such great acting from all chracter's. It was by far one of their best.
I am currently watching the newer season and their an episode in there that comes close second with that episode.
It's a rainy day and Brooke & Julian got in a fight. brooke takes off in the storm to find Ms.Lauren(Jamie's teacher) crashed with jamie and two other kids. It goes crazy from there. Brooke about dies and little Jamie wow this episode was amazing.

One Tree hill is on my top five favorite tv list!
I ship: Naley, Brucas, Jeyton

That episode is AWESOME! It shows Brooke's journey more than any other episodes...it was fairly scary and sad...

O i know I was terrified that episode. Agree totaly on the brooke thing to. Shows so much of Brooke, how strong and beautiful she is 🙂 I just love this episode.

That episode is amazing. I cried so much, because for one moment there I actually thought they're going to
kill Brooke.
It was amazing when she said
Julian he's just a boy. Save him, then come back for me.
Kinda reminded me why I love her so much.

Okay, you have to stop this now. lol. You're making me actually want to go back and catch up with this show. And I quit watching when Dan had his last episode, because he was the reason that I continued to watch after it was very clear I wasn't get my beloved Brooke/Lucas. rotfl. Geez. I'm still coping, but it's all good.

And Brooke and these spoilers, which oddly enough I'm okay with because I don't have as much love for this show as I did in the beginning, are proof exactly what I always said that Brooke was the best character (as far as female character's go) on this show. Though, I'm sure that some will disagree, but I want to clarify this is my humble opinion and doesn't and shouldn't reflect anyone else's. I'm just saying, this has now proven why I was always firmly on the side of Brooke. 🙂

Go. Start watching again. One Tree Hill is one really amazing show. Maybe earlier seasons were a little bit better that this later seasons, but OTH can still amaze and surprise me. Plus,
Dan was back in one newer episode in season 8
.

Maybe Brooke and Lucas will never be together, but Brooke and Julian are also amazing, and this is coming from someone who could never imagine Brooke with anyone else than Lucas. And Brooke is really one of the best characters in OTH. Her 'evolution' scale was the best in the show!
