Project Monsoon makes rainy days in Seoul a little bit more colourful by bringing art to the sidewalks when they get wet.

The project is a creative collaboration between local street artists and Pantone. Artists have been supplied with hydrochromatic paint and have been getting creative all over the city streets, but the paint is actually invisible to the naked eye… until it rains.

‘We were inspired by South Korea’s culture of emphasizing the importance of the flow of rivers, the paintings utilize Korea’s topographical features that create a flow and puddle of rain water in every street to fill the streets with color and life’, the artists explained.

The project was created with South Korea’s 3-week monsoon season in mind. Surely this beautiful art will get anyone braving a monsoon to go outside and check it out.

Now it's just waiting till monsoon season to see how it all turns out. Pretty cool idea.

My country could do with this all year round. All we get is rain. And sometimes hailstones and gales.
