By the way, it would be interesting how the live-action will handle the representation of the explicit symbolism of Marika (a woman) represented as Jesus
Queen Marika the Eternal is represented as the female equivalent of Jesus (in terms of King of kings). As a matter of fact, if the timeline of the Elden Ring universe is deciphered, it is the same as the "real" world:
1) The "One Great" split into 2 opposing forces: Great Will=Order/Creation and Frenzy Flame=Chaos/Destruction, in this way the Great Will gave birth to the universe and life. It's the equivalent of:
-the philosophical split of the "One" into the multitude of Plotinus or the division of the original "Tao" into Yang-Yin: the concept is always the same, from the "One" there is the separation of the "2 poles" then from the "2 poles" the multitude of all things. (By the way, "Creation" is represented as "Separation" and "Destruction" as "Transformation")
-the religious separation of Zurvan into the Zoroastrian Ahura Mazda/"God"(Creation) and Angra Mainyu (Destruction) and then the development of the Abrahamic "God" and Satan (Judaism, Christianity, Islam)
-the scientific Big Bang: that scientifically wasn't an explosion but an expansion generating the continuum of space-time with matter-energy (separation from the "One" to the first duality of Space and Time then to the multitude of all things).
2) The prehistoric age of Dragons is the "fantasy equivalent" of the prehistoric age of dinosaurs
3) After the dragons, "mammal" beasts gained intelligence=End of dinosaurs, and primates/humans develop intelligence
4) The Lands Between the setting of the lore are named in relation to Mesopotamia:
Mesopotamia, which literally means "between rivers" is the region between the Tigris and Euphrates just like the Lands Between with the 2 rivers: Siofra and Ainsen (Tigris and Euphrates). This area is significant because it saw the emergence of some of the world’s first civilizations, writing systems (like cuneiform), advanced technologies and first religions/mythologies.
As a matter of fact, the ancient underground ruins of the Uhl dynasty is based on the city of Ur (Uhl - Ur similarities of the names), the birthplace of the Biblical patriarch Abraham, from which Abraham take his “God”/El since El was one of the many gods of the Mesopotamian pantheon. Realistically, the historical origins of the Biblical “God” is related to the Mesopotamian gods.
5) The demi-gods are based on the polytheistic gods of mythologies (mainly Norse and Celtic mythologies during Early Middle Ages that mixed with Christianity), the death of Godwyn is based on the death of Balder, the most loved god with the Erdtree represented as Yggdrasil, the World Tree etc
6) The events of the lore are set in the Middle Ages during the time of crusaders: as a matter of fact one of the sons of Marika is Mesmer the Impaler based on Vlad the Impaler or Dracula, the Round Table is obviously based on the Round Table of King Artur with his knights etc
-The Golden Order and the cult of Marika is based on Christian Church as institution and the cult of Jesus; the Great Will is based on “God”.
-The problems and corruption of the Golden Order represents the problems and the corruptions of the history of the Christian church.
-Marika's churches are based on Christian churches. The crucifixion of Marika, also pierced by a lance, is based on the crucifixion of Christ, pierced by the lance. The symbol of Marika on cross in her churches is like the real Christian churches with the crucifix.
It's probably like Stephen King said: “The reason fantasy fiction remains such a vital and necessary genre is that it lets us talk about such things in a way realistic fiction cannot.” or : "Fiction is the truth inside the lie"
Well, motivation is also important. I would have finally decided to attended churches if there were full displays of a girl hot as Marika🤣🤣

Stranded on Honeymoon Island. I didn't think reality marriage tv could get any worse than MAFS. I was wrong. The music is a bit much for the lack of content. Admittedly I am finding it hard to tell the difference between all the blonde haired ladies in white rags. The manufactured drama is top tier trash. Early days.

3 episodes in and I’m hooked. It’s a satisfying mix off a quirky and weird X Files and a gritty noir. The dark humour is up my alley, it’s well cast and the mystery is intriguing.

Booth at the End, S1. Short episodes which take place entirely at a diner booth, where people come to make deals (with the devil?) to get something they want. The man they talk to can make anything happen, but demands a price for each. Quirky and interesting, though it introduces a lot of threads at once. Streaming on Amazon Prime for free.
