I just realised that we never have any gfx competitions here. Okay, so here are the stipulations:

Theme: Eliza Dushku
Size: Optional
Colour: Optional
Due date: This next Tuesday coming - 21st Feb. (Voting will commence as soon as the entries have been posted)

Basically, someone will accept this challenge and we will both make a banner following the stipulations. The other members will then vote on which banner they like the best - first to receive (we'll say) four votes, wins!

Anyone want to take me on lol?



If this becomes popular I was thinking we could have like a BB's GFX champion, where the champion could defend his/her title regularly to add to the competition 🙂
 
Yeah sure, sounds like fun! Now by theme: Eliza, is that the same as Faith, or would it be the actress Eliza?
 
Anything Eliza-related; if you'd like to just use her in Faith character, then that's cool since it's related to Eliza.


I may have something up as early as tonight - I just have a lot of work to do first 🙂
 
Meh, what can I say? I'm a quick worker...Not my best, but here's my offering:

Analysis:
Everyone here seems to love using their brushes and patterns on their artwork, so I thought I'd go for a simple and sweet look. I have the blurry affect around the text travel behind the main picture of Eliza to emphasise that picture's importance, and I merged the three background pictures together to make it all fit. The frame is used mainly because I feel that it makes a good border...

I may edit this later (I forgot; you can edit your artwork up until the oponent has posted theirs...You cannot edit during the vote).
 
Hey can I take you up on this offer too! It sounds fun!

I'm asking as you said in the first post that you BOTH would be put to the vote, but I don't see why we can't have more than two people going in for it!
 
Hey Matt, I decided to take up on your challenge 🙂 I have this pics of that beautiful shoot with ED on my comp forever now and thought I could might as well use it for a banner for this challenge.

I wanted a light, bright mood with this banner that fit with the shooting surroundings at the beach. The choice of colors therefore is soft and pastel. I decided to not use much of textures and gradients to keep it simple, which I think fitted the mood very well .. so I hope you'll like it.

Okay well I think once BEG posts his, I'll make a thread in the game's section (since post count doesn't go up in there). Winner is the guy/girl who gets the most votes...I think we'll stick to first to four, although since there's four particpants, I might make it first to three in case not many other users vote 🙂

By the way, this isn't really my thing, I just thought it'd be a cool idea. If any of you want to make one-on-one challenges or open challenges yourself, that'd be cool...Adds competition to this section 🙂
 
I might actually try and do another one instead after seeing the competition lol...I'll make sure it's done before BEG gets his in.
 
^Lol I know but once you've posted a piece, you can't edit it after everyone has given theirs in....I need to explain these rules better lol 😛 Anytime before Tuesday is fine BEG 🙂

My new attempt 🙂 I kept to the same idea, but blended the pictures a little better I think...I added the light because the space between two of the pictures was a little dark.

my five minute i dont like to blend effort...i wanted to put something in and i dont think ill have time to tomorrow or anytime so i made one quickly now...ill put more time into if we ever have another of these...which i hope we do cause i think will be fun...
