True that, but everyone was a newbie at one point, so you can't judge all by the few crappy ones.

You can always make a one-on-one challenge now...Again, this isn't my thing. Whatever you want to do is fine 🙂

If this gets popular, maybe a sub-forum could be made in this section here for graphics battles...


Only thing is that because so many people are participating, the number of votes we'll get will decrease since they're likely to be more spread out (if that makes sense)...
 
Yeah maybe in future, everyone who wants to enter puts their name in, then they are split into groups of 2/3 then the winner's of each of them face each other?
 
Maybe like every two months or something...And we could have a championship lol (like BB's heavyweight graphics champion), which could be defended and stuff.
 
I've run many graphics comps at other sites, and I usually have elimination styles challenges. Start with however many want to enter, give assignment, vote and whittle down to top 10 or whatever. Then give those 10 a new assignment, repeat until youre down to top 3 for the final round. It works out really well, and you can have a variety of different formats for one comp, such as round 1 Icons, round 2 banners, round 3 wallpapers. Not sure I explained it well, and I'm sure there are other ways it would be fun, just gotta put my $0.02 in.
 
I think thats a really good idea...i think having eliminations is the best way to do this if it really gets set up formally. This one is pretty informal. I wonder if we could go to one of the mods and ask if it could be a sub forum in this forum...the artwork forum...id really like to see somethign happen with this it could be alot of fun...im sure plenty of peopel are willling to help organize the challenge...anyone can enter the first round...and then like Vengence said choose the top 10...either by vote, or if the vote is too spread out by somethign like a board of judges who were those who set it up whpo get the top ten...the top ten are given a new challenge...the juges could pick top 3 or 5 or whatever and the final round can be chosen by the people and they will get to vote because it will be down to a reasonable amount of entries for voting...i think this is close to what Vengence was trying to say...not sure how she wated to narrow down the entries though so a judge panel was the only idea i could think of that would work...
 
^I'm definitely up for organising it all - maybe Vengeance could help me with the elimination rounds (I don't think we should do one of those for a while though)
 
hmm, well, if i had more time..
oh what the heck, i'm entering my siggy banner. I haven't made anything for a loooong time, but i whipped up this banner tonight to for my sig, so don't laugh. Next time I'll make something specifically for the contest. Neat idea by the way..
 
Okay I'll accept that too, but now no more participants lol...Soon the entire boards will be in this and there'll be no one to vote.
