Why wasn't Amber ever put in the opening credits? I mean, she was in atleast 2 whole seasons. So I think she should have been put in the credits. Because I knowticed this when I watched 'Normal Again' and I didn't see her name in the credits. Along, I watch an eppy from Season 5. And I didn't see her name. So I was wondering if anyone knows why they never put Amber in the credits.
 
Where she was in the credits. But what i meant was she wasn't in it as in "Amber Benson" with her name and stuff. She only had a clip or two in the credits
 
wait what? in the ep seeing red i think she was in the credits with her name
 
Her name WAS in the credits in Seein Red, the episode that she dies in (big tease!) but other than that, she never appeared in the credits with her name, and i've always wondered why myself.
 
Yea I don't understand why either. She was on the show for a couple seasons, she deserved recognition. Maybe they didn't have enough time to put another character in b/c they already had like 6 or 7 ppl in a theme song that was about 30-45 seconds.
 
There's not many good Tara clips that could go in the credits. For a character like Spike he does loads of cool stuff that can go in but Tara does little more than talk. Probably best that they left her out.
 
What do you mean, there's not good clips of her? There are a lot!

Nah, maybe they didn't have enough time in the opening credits or they forgot about her (that's not likely) or maybe Joss is evil.
 
I do remember Joss talking about why she was never in the credits but I dont remember what he said. But I think it was part of his twisted mind of putting someone in the credits for one episode and then die, like Doyle(I know he was in more then one ep).
 
Maybe actors have to be paid more if they're in the credits, so they didn't put her in because in a lot of episodes shes not in much.
 
Thinking more about this though, they took ASH out of the credits for season six, so there was all that time his credits had occupied, they could have just cut credits for her and slipped them in, instead of reworking the whole shabang. I think that she deffinately deservered to be in the credits, and should have been there since the begining of season five. Despite the fact that she was a regular for two and a half seasons, she was also a fan favorite.

Also, I can't remember, and I'm not getting up to look right now, but didn't Marc Blucas get credit time in late season four, or early season five? Amber was in the show for longer, and, in my opinion, had a more important, far reaching impact... Just something to think about.

I noticed that too a while ago and I was really freaked out... I loved Tara, and she was a really important character, considering how she effected Will and stuff. (I don't mean 'effected' as a bad thing... Sorry if it sounded that way.) I tihnk she should've been in there, at least in season 5, but... She wasn't. She was an *extremely* important 'Guest Star', yes?
