I'd like to suggest a small something, here.

It is more than apparent that there is a willingness here by all concerned to reach out to one another in the name of friendship....but many are too shy to do anything about it.

So, why don't you all just make use of this board's most under-utilized resource, the BB's chat room, as an ice breaker of sorts? Just gather a bunch of you together in there and start getting to know one another. A group environment is always a good way to get rid of those jitters.

After meeting in there initially, you'll all be comfortable enough with each other to take your new friendships into PMs and Messengers.
It's the only way I can see to get things moving amongst you self-confessed "chickens". Lol. 😛

Perhaps a specific day or evening can be worked out amongst you....for a time when many of you are logged onto the BB at the same time....to go into the chat room. You know, like a "Thursday Night Chat" every week, specifically allotted as a "getting to know you" type of thing....or whatever day you decide to make it. Up to you.


Think about it....it's not as stupid as it sounds...lol.


Ramble over now....(to the great relief of everyone..I'm sure...😛)

This thread is about making connections, not airing out your dirty laundry. You got a problem with any members, discuss it with them privately. Your snide marks will not be tolerated.
 
There are TONS of people on here that interest me and I always say "wow I didn't know that about them! How cool is that! I should PM them!" and then just get busy.

Like Jules...I get super-busy on the boards...and plus a large portion of my online time is when I'm at work (naughty me!!!) and I'm usually doing about 6 things at once 😉

That being said..anyone is MORE than welcome to PM me at anytime..I love to meet new people and enjoy the sporadic PM conversations I have occasionally with other members.

I haven't been here long enough to really get to know anyone. But Lorne the Host seems to be interesting. Everyone else seems to be too nice for lil ol sarcastic me.

OMG just stumbled on this thread and I love it. Thanks so much for starting this Rayne. I honestly haven't talked to almost anyone here, except helping people out once in a while. I would love to talk to anyone. I've been told many times that I'm...somewhat anti-social! lol I think it's just that I'm shy. Everyone feel free to IM me on AIM: Shoppinggirl2653.
