Opinions would be appreciated

Season 2, 3 and 5 are all stand out seasons but I reckon you should show him a great episode like Hush, Dopplegangland or The Wish. He might like what he sees and watch the series in order.
 
Thanks to everyone for their replies. I've taken everything into consideration and we'll watch from the start. I might skip an episode here and there if I think it's just TOO corny. 😉
 
I don't know if I to late or not, but I started with Becoming part 1 and 2 for when I did my last conversion. Though I have been successful with starting from the very beginning as well, as others have said before it all depends on your friends preferences, sense he already watched Angel maybe it'll give him some incentive to learn more about the characters of Angel and Cordelia before the headed to L.A.
