I don't know if this has already been posted, or if there is a better thread for this. I was watching this latest season of Supernatural and the brothers bought an Orb of Theselah from a magic shop. One of the main characters had lost his soul, and had it restored, but it was damaged from hell. I read an article that suggested that this is an obvious Buffy reference, and that it might foreshadow the characters restoration of his undamaged soul. I love seeing Buffy having such an impact on all of these shows! Supernatural also coined the phrase WWBD haha

Wow, that's so weird! lol I've never watched Supernatural but it's interesting to know they've used something from Buffy!! lol 😀

Never watched Supernatural but it's good to see that the Orb is making it's way around lol. Must have been bored of being used as a paperweight lol.

I simply adore Buffy references in other things. I was reading a book once that had a Buffy reference and I screamed. 🙂 It makes me smile.

But Angelus smashed it 🙁

There are more than one, apparently of no particular value unless you're trying to capture, recover, or repair a soul, or, at least the impresson that I got. Giles used one for a paperweight, hardly any way to treat a valuable, rare artifact. e
I know exactly which episode your talking about it's called "The Mentalists" and is from season 7 of Supernatural. The orb of thesulah was purchased in order to restore Sam Winchester's soul because it had been severely damaged in hell. In order to understand what happened to Sam in detail you would have to watch Seasons 6 and 7(which is still airing).

I don't watch that show but yeah...that's an obvious reference, or a slight rip off 😉. I love when characters make Buffy references in books/movies. It makes me happy.

I love Supernatural so I cant wait to see that reference. Season 7 hasnt aired yet in the UK.

And Willow My Love, I've done that as well when I was reading something and there's been a refernce to Buffy in it.
