Quote from Giles regarding the Order of Takara from "What's My Line"

They're a breed apart, Buffy. U-unlike vampires they have no earthly desires, but to collect their bounty. They find a target, and, uh... they eliminate it. You can kill as many of them as you like, it won't make any difference. Where there's one, there will be another, and another. They won't stop coming until the job is done.

Well....they kinda stopped coming after the three that were coming to Dru's little shindig got killed....probably stupid question, but should they still be keep coming?

I think since everyone thought spike and drusilla where dead, there was no longer a bounty to be collected as far as everyone was concerned, because the people offering the bounty were assumed dead.

True, no assasin's going to complete the job when they dont think they are going to get paid

Good point, except I don't think Dru really made an effort to hide as such so I don't really see how they would make that assumption. Possibly they could have been called off because they moved on to other things but still...it seems odd for such an ominous order to take part in only those two episodes.

I dont' know...I think they could have had a part in Surprise and Innocence if Joss had wanted them too....and who am I to question Joss?

Toward the end of the episode, Buffy's talking to someone (I think Willow) and she says something about the contract being called off.

It's actually at the very beginning of the next episode, "Ted". Willow, Xander and Buffy are walking and Willow says something like "So we're pretty sure there's no more assasins coming" and Buffy says that Angel's sources told him the contract was called off. I just happened to read this thread before watching "Ted" at work today.
