I think Joss was only joking about Anya dying. A few times he's said that Anya was going to die but Emma moved around too much in the footage so he changed his mind. If he was really going to kill her then he would have made her stay still. I love Joss and I'm soooo glad he didn't kill her then. Anya is my favourite character ever. If season seven hadn't been the last season and I was forced to watch Anya-less episodes.... grrrr that would be awful!!!

Notice how as much as everyone loves Anya noone reacted as badly to her dieing as such characters as Joyce or Tara, i dont know wether this is because it happened on the last episode so we were a little overwhelmed with everything else or because she didnt get much of a send off so we didnt have time to grieve...... season 6 and 7 would of alot different without her...think about it what would of happened if there was never Anya and Xanders wedding. Would Xander still have 2 eyes???
 
If Season 8 was to go ahead, and without Emma, which it would've, I honestly wouldnt watch Buffy, I really wouldnt!
 
A lot of people used to say last season that if 'Buffy' ends (which it did), they'll refuse to watch 'Angel'. I bet they still watch 'Angel'.

Male Slayer, wouldn't you really not watch 'Buffy' after Anya died, even if in the next season, a fave couple of yours get back together or something new and exciting happens?

I honestly, if Anya was not in it, I honestly and truthfully wouldnt watch it!
It would make me hurt! Really it would!
Ok, I bet some of you think Im sad, but thats just me!
 
me too it wouldve been interesting but its a good thing it didnt really happen
