why do they call willow buffy zander and giles the original scoobies cause isnt cordelia technically one of them? i know she didnt actually join until season 2 but she still was a part of it

They were at the start and at the end, with Giles leaving for a bit. Cordelia is just like Oz, Tara etc. She joint, she left.

well I call her an Orignal Scooby, since she was there since ep1 but she wasnt into the whole helping out with killing demons or anything demony until later on in the season.

I don't think of Cordelia as an original scooby.She was just an extra in s1,in s2 she joined them, but later we all know what happened...

They hated each other. They weren't friends in s1. So she wasn't a scoobie then, IMO she never really was one.

Buffy, Willow, Xander, and Giles are the core of the scoobies. They are the ones who started it all. Yeah even though Cordelia was there she wasn't part of the group in the beginning.

S2: Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles, Cordelia and Jenny Calender(honorary Scoob)
S3: Buffy, Xander, Willow,Giles, Cordelia and Oz
S4:Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles, Oz (first half), Anya, Riley (Part time Scoob),
S5: Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles, Dawn, Riley (first half), Tara(was involved in S4, but didn't really get inducted until S5) Anya
S6: Buffy, Xander, Willow, Dawn, Anya, Tara
S7: (Kind of hard to tell, but I'll give it a shot) Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles (On and Off), Dawn, Anya, Kennedy (She was involved in meetingsand lilke most of Xanders and Willows relations gets an automatic via into the group) Andrew (honorary)
I based it pretty much on who was involved in Scooby meetings or who was working with the rest of the group. Faith, Spike, Angel, Wesley and Wood don't appear as Scoobs either because they were loners, had their own agenda, or were forced to help due to some circumstance. I know it was more than asked for, but I'm bored and always wanted to group the Scoobs

Cordelia, Oz, Tara and Anya were part of the Scooby gang cause they were dating one of them, but if you remember the scene from The Harvest and then Chosen, The Original Scooby Gang are: Buffy, Willow, Xander and Giles.
