hey, what do you guys think would've happened if tara and willow hadnt fought in this episode, and willow had accompanied her to ther fair? do think willow wouldve been able to get tara away from glory? would glory and willow have had their big battle at the fair? would glory have sucked willow's brain for getting in her way?

Definate possibility that Tara and Willow could have weakened her considerable and made her easier to finnish off in the end.

Ah but wasn't the whole point of their fight to get Tara alone so she could be a victim for Glory? So maybe had they not fought the entire thing would have played out differently and they still wouldn't have had the chance to attack Glory.

I don't think Willow being with Tara would have deterred Glory. She wanted the Key and she had no lack of self-confidence. Seeing Willow with Tara might have made Glory even more motivated - after all she had a score to settle with them both for having teleported her into the sky in "Blood Ties". The civilian casualty count of Glory battling the two witches in that crowded setting might have been pretty awful (remember Glory warning Tara of what she could do to everyone around them.)

Having Willow there with Tara might have enabled them to escape, fighting together. Up until the end that was the best any of the Scoobies could do, even as a group - escape.

And I'm sure Glory would have been happy to eat Willow's brain - witch brains were apparently very tasty to her, lol. Although we never saw her eat two brains one after another. Maybe she would have had indigestion afterwards?

I think regardless of whether Willow had gone to fair or not Glory still would have gone after Tara thinking that she is the key. Just in this instance Willow would have had the snot beaten out of her by Glory maybe fatally!

Willow may of held her off for a bit for Tara and herself to get away, if they did, the entire ending would be different. Glory would still think that Tara was the key and may not have figured out in time that it was Dawn.

Or Glory may have killed willow for getting in the way, and still sucked out Tara's brain.

Which would suck coz i love Tara and Willow.

actually mogwaid, if the fight had played out differently in a way that she didnt suck tara's brain, then you're probably right. she wouldnt even have known who the key was, because it was tara being all crazy who revealed it in the end. maybe then glory would have missed the deadline for her ritual, and would have just dissapeared (i think the minion said she would). ben could have lived a normal life instead of dying, dawn would be fine, buffy would never die. the whole deal would be very different. but then again, my favourite season would be altered a lot! 🙁

I think that glory would have gotten to the fair...Willow would have tried to protect tara, and either A) would have gotten hurt trying to do so, either getting beat in a fight or her brain sucked, and taras brain would have still been sucked or B) She and tara would have hurt glory and had gotten safely away
