I was watching "˜Lies my parents told me' yesterday and it got me thinking about Spin-Offs that could be interesting.
There are all the obvious ones of Spike, Willow, Illyria etc, but watching Nikki Wood, I kinda felt that, done correctly, a 1970's prequel centered in New York with Nikki as the lead would be very interesting.
Made even more interesting is the fact we know how she dies, but we have an opportunity to see a Slayer of a certain age (I'd guestimate at 26 when she dies) getting "˜called', having relationships that lead to a pregnant Slayer and her dealing with that. Yes we know that Buffy dealt with "˜motherhood' but it's different to what Nikki had to deal with.

Anyway my wondering is this.
What "˜Spin-Off' would you like to read/see that wasn't one of the more obvious ones?

A spin-off about Angelus, Darla, William and Drusilla. That would rock!!

Kinda a little obvious PLUS, they have had so much exposure on Buffy and Angel in my opinion.

I want something new and fresh, something that isn't spending alot of time in areas we've already explored.

Though as a one off, it could be entertaining.

I have no idea, but I love yours. I'd like to kidnap it, run off and force it to marry me. Then we'd have loads of kids. I can see it all. The kid, the jacket, the seventies and Spike. An epistemological wet dream. We toy with the little you know of her death, chop it up more and Spike's insight about Nikki. Salt and pepper it with some Slayer history. Take the tragic ending and amp it up a little. A lamb, say, for Spike to feast on. Explore the origin of Empathy. Find some priests. Not in that order, I abused my sentences, kicked some words around. I suspect it is stille sensey, it lacks incoherence though. Next post will find a mothers love is purest of all.

My favourite spin-off idea is still Faith/Spike related. But then again I'd be happy to watch any tv show that Joss is involved in, especially if it's in the Buffyverse.

I personally would like to see a spin off about Andrew. I would love to see his adventures as a "Watcher in Training".

this might sound kinda random, but i would have liked to see/read Sid (the puppet from 'The Puppet Show') and that Korean Slayer he said he met in the thirties. it would take us to a different time, a different hero with a different take on her Chosen One role. i think that would have been very interesting.

Andrew and Jonathan on the road to Mexico...or would that be too much like Supernatural 😉

that would be hilarious
I would like to see a Cordelia, Tara, and Anya spinoff. The powers that be send them back to earth to stop the hellmouth in Cleveland from opening. That would be cool. 🙂

I think we have a winner!!

That would be the funniest show in the history of funny shows in the history of funny shows in the UNIVERSE including any funny shows that might be on alien planets. 😀

Randy, you saw that and you thought of 'the funny'? Anyone else see it and imagine Tara converts the other two with her mighty mojo, like she did with Willow. A lesbian threesome, that's all I see. Over and over.

Cordelia naked...yes. Anya...sure. Tara...eh.

And I'm afraid there'd only be lesbian threesomes in the minds of viewers, no matter what channel it was on. 🙁

So yes, I focus on the potential funny. And Cordy being damn sexy while she's being funny. YUMM-EEEE.

A d'hoffryn spin off has always intrigued me. I liked his character, had an eventful history, maybe throw some anya in there, sounds like the makings of a pretty gd show to me. Him going round recruiting vengence demons...or something.

Something For Everybody

I've mentioned this before, but I think a revolving series, say three or four groups, each consisting of a a regular from either BUFFY or ANGEL, on a rotating basis, allowing each group to have their own story line, and allowing for crossovers between the various groups when the plot reuires it. It would be basicly three or more Slayer/Watcher/witchconditions brought about by/demon fighter groups, which would be in keeping with the new multiple Slayer Buffy's actions at the final battle in Sunnydale.

A series like that would allow much longer to devote to each episode, because it would only air once every three or four weeks. By moving at such a liesurely pace, t might even be possible to lure Sarah or David back for an occasional guest appearence.

Well that wouldnt be much of a spinoff would it?

Any enlargement or segmentation of the group (scoobie gang) counts for a spin-off [Angel & Cordy & Wesley = ATS] so saying anything with the Scoobie Gang works for me doesn't oppose with it.
