I must have missed the original thread but I am always upset to hear of an animal being mistreated. My Jack was a rescue. The people who had him basically told us that they were going to kill him if we didn't take him.

We took that dog and ran!! Well, after we paid for him. But the hubby and I were both really upset about it for a while.
