Out of Gas...

I might be in the minority with this opinion.

Out of Gas is to Firefly, what "The Body" is to BTVS.

While nobody died, it's similar in mood and showcases some great performances from the cast.


Liked all the flashbacks showing how Wash, Jayne, Inara and Kaylee became part of the crew.

I agree so much with your sentiment Sunnydale Siren. Definitely a highlight of the show's short run and Wash's moustache runs away with the whole episode.

Sure did. I don't what it is, whether it's the way Alan Tudyk wears it or what, but you just cannot take your eyes of it for a second. It's almost distracting.

Maybe my favorite. When Mal looked at Serenity for the first time, those are one of those scenes that get you right there.

Out of Gas is my favourite episode, but then they're really all so great, not a bad one amongst them. Everything about it was perfect, the writing, acting, and directing.

I get The body connection since I get the same feeling in my stomach when I watch that episode as I get from the scenes with Mal alone on the ship. And it's not a good feeling but that don't mean I think the scenes are bad. I love the flashbacks though. And about the moustache there's a clip when Nathan and Gina surprise Alan with wearing moustaches as well when he gets up and sees them in that scene. So beautiful. 😛

When Mal sees the Serenity for the first time...
That just made the episode for me. After that, there was no way I could ever hate firefly.
