yeah, but he appers on the show as an educational genie such as willow so why would he repeat the year?

Because he wanted to be with Willow 😉 Oz had said that he had to repeat his senior year in Anne.

I thought it was such a funny line when Willow was reminding him about his classes and finals and summer school and he said "Yeah...Remember how I didn't go?" LMAO That was so me in college! 😉
That has actually been my thought.
Since it seems that he easily could have made it, no matter how little he studied. I think he did it on purpose so he could spend another year in Highschool with Willow.
Question is if that is a romantic gesture or just crazy? 🙂

I'm thinking romantic gesture as well, I bet the only time he was around his first sr. year was at lunch to see Will.
He took the test that got him looked at by the suits because when he preforms he preforms well. I've had afew friends that were either really athletically gifted, or just plain crazy smart, but they didn't feel a drive to be in sports or try at studies. They kinda were like 'students of the world' aka slackers 🙂 I think I see Oz like that kinda, but he's a busy 'slacker' (then again so were they..perhaps there are no slackers?)
Oz was a werewolf, guitar player, who was in love with an underclassmen. Thats a tough row to hoe. (I honestly can't remeber though, was he a werewolf his first sr. year?)
He is very bright but I don't think school was his thing. In fact with all the things he had cooking on the side...wolfouts, gigs, etc...coupled with his lack of intrest in school provided with motive for flunking (more time with willow) I'm suprised his GPA wasn't total toilet.
I'd bet the only reason he graduated with the class of 99 was becasue if he did not, he'd still be stuck in school again while Willow went to college. He more or less had to graduate.
Remember at the end when he made that quip about surviving.. and everyones like yeah, the accension, and he's like no high school?
