Painful scenes to watch

Wild At Heart:
- Willow finding Oz and Veruca in the cage.
- Willow crying after Buffy saved her.
- Oz leaving.

Innocence:
- Xander and Cordelia getting caught kissing in the library by Willow.

Passion:
- Giles finding Jenny. This is really ugly.
- Buffy and Willow receiving the message about Jenny's death.

Almost everything that you guys have already mentioned, plus the scene in Consequences where Willow finds out that Xander and Faith have slept together and cries alone in the bathroom. Breaks my heart every time.

I found Glory torturing Spike and Tara painful to watch. The way she abuses them, shrug. In an emotional level I would say 'The Body'. That episode felt so real and the dialogues and lack of any music just wisps you away from reality. The speech Anya said made me cry so much and it really makes Joyce death so special. The whole episode was so teary which makes it painful to watch. The scene with Spike and Buffy in 'Seeing Red' or any other scene they have sex, it just feels so real. Sometimes I feel like its a documentary of a real life situation which makes me forget Spike is a vampire. That's why Season 6 was so painful to watch for me in a good way though 🙂

Buffy crying on the bed in Innocence over Angel- I think we've all been there, and Sarah's acting in the scene over knowing that it was her and Angel's decision to have sex that caused Angel to lose his soul was heartbreaking. When she collapses onto the bed crying, I have a hard time holding back tears.
Buffy telling Dawn about Joyce in "The Body"... So sad, and Michelle's breakdown makes it so real and raw. 🙁
The rape scene in "Seeing Red"- For obvious reasons, this one makes me uncomfortable and the look in James' eyes is scary.
Tara's death in "Seeing Red"- This one actually shocked me. I remember watching it for the first time and leaping off the couch in shock. It was so unexpected and so sad to see Willow cradling Tara. 🙁
Xander losing his eye in "Dirty Girls"- My God, it was just painful to watch, and so heartbreaking.

- Angel breaking up with Buffy in the sewers.

- Wesley taking baby Connor then running into Justine and trusting her.

Even more painful is seeing when Connor gets taken by Holtz into Quor'toth. The look on Angel's face.

^ totally agree, I think that is one of the saddest scenes in ATS.

the way angel treats buffy after he loses his soul, but she doesn't know it yet... the way he brushes her off

"love ya too" so casually and then walks out the door

I agree with everyone about the pummeling scene in Dead Things. That is probably the single most painful scene on any of Joss's shows for me to watch.

I also cannot watch the Cordy/Conner sex scene in Apocalypse Nowish. Why Joss, why.

Why indeed. Crazyness.
I actually find a lot of the series to be hard to watch as it is, tbh.

What really is the most "painful," however, is:

All off Innocence, and in retrospect Surprise.
The last half of Passion.
I Only Have Eyes For You last act.
All of Becoming, both episodes.
When Cordy and Oz walk in on Willow and Xander.
The Master snapping Buffy's neck in The Wish.
Buffy running to catch Riley in Into The Woods.
Buffy-Spike sex in Smashed.

Also the scene where Giles explains to Buffy why it's such a good idea for him to leave, after she's lost her mother, been dead, been yanked out of heaven, and is having trouble both finanially and emotionally in her return to life. Really, Giles? I know Tony needed to get back to his family and I give him major props for putting his family first. I also believe that the writers handled his departure as best they could given that they were definitely bringing him back (and I'm grateful for that) but I still hate that scene.

Two scenes I still simply can't watch (looking away from the screen every single time) are Der Kindertod starting to feed through his eyes, and Caleb turning Xander into Nick Fury.

Yes, I'm a wuss when it comes to eye yuckness.

I think that the only scene that I found really painful to watch, was Giles finding Jenny, when Angel had killed her. Maybe there were more, but I can't think of any right now. But that scene makes me feel so incredible horrible. It just hurt me, seeing Giles' reaction when he saw Jenny.

Buffy/Spike sex scene in Dead Things, when they're up on the balcony at Bronze.
I can't watch that, I always flashforward over it..

How has no body mentioned this!

How was no body mentioned Willow find Oz and Veruga (sp>)! Allyson is soooo good in that scene, but it is heartbreaking!

Entropy: Spike and Anya having sex.
The Body: the entire episode. Only watched once.
