Pairings

What fanfiction pairings do you write, or read? Are there any unusual pairings that you read in fanfiction but can't really imagine in the show?

I'm a big fanfic reader, and will try all pairings once. Currently into reading Xander/Jesse fics although they are hard to find.

B/A. Not much else, although I don't mind mentions of Spuffy (as long as Spike's place as second-in-command is made clear, lol) or any of the other canon pairings.

I read all the Xander pairings: Xander/Spike, Xander/Giles, Xander/Angel, Xander/Oz, Xander/Jesse, Xander/Larry, Xander/Wesley... and so on.

What I don't like are: Xander/Riley and Xander/Andrew.

If you want Xander/Jesse fics, tell me and I'll PM you the ones I know.

I don't read a lot of fanfiction anymore, but when I do it's usually Willow/Tara, Willow/Fred, Buffy/Faith or Fred/Wesley. And sometimes before I go for a run or something and I need to get pumped I will read a Willow/Kennedy fanfic to get angry enough to run for a while hehe 😉 it works really good 😀

This may come as a shock to a lot of people, but almost everything that I write pertaining to the Buffyverse is one way or another about Spike and Buffy. They may be friends, they may, be lovers, they may be mortal enemies, but it always, for some reason or other, gets down to them.

Beyond that, I have written a couple of Buffy/Faith "buddy" stories, one Bangel story (romantic and sad, basically a rip off of "Casablanca") during my "made a promise to a lady" month, and, just as an experiment once, I tried (VERY unsuccessfully) to write a mildly erotic story concerning Angel, Faith, Buffy, and Spike (poor Angel will never be the same again)

I also did, right after "Not Fade Away" aired for the first time, a Buffy/Angel/Highlander/Alamo (yes, THAT Alamo) crossover that was a lot of fun doing, but will never see the light of day again. I'll give you this much of an explanation on that one: Willow raised a fallen army of heroes to help bail Angel and his crew out in the final battle. Beyond that, my lips are forever sealed.

I read and write mostly Spuffy. I don't really mind who the other characters are paired up with in the background as long as the main pairing is Spike/Buffy.

I also like Spike and Dawn friendship fics, both to read and write.

And there are some pretty good Spike/Tara fics out there, too.

I read Spuffy, Dawnnor, Willow/Oz, and some Bangel.

Out of the Buffy field I also read Sookie/Eric for TrueBlood... seriously guys, AMAZING stuff, but more in the "mature" category as far as ratings go.

I WRITE: (this is going to be some firefly stuff too) Dawnnor, Spuffy, Silee (Simon/Kaylee) and Rayne (River/Jayne), and some Mal/Inara in the background of those stories.

I'm not much of a fan fic writer, but I have wrote a few drabbles and ficlets.

I read only Spuffy fic, though.

Xander/Jesse? That sounds cool. Can you link me to one?

I like reading Angelus/Buffy , Spike/Buffy and Faith/ Buffy. But I really only like the ones that keep the charecters personalitys the same, which is I have found hard for Angelus/ Buffy and Faith/Buffy....

I am straight up addicted to fanfiction right now, and I read almost all Spuffy. I do like reading Buffy POV stories and Spike POV stories since they're some of my favorite characters, but other than that, it's almost exclusively Spuffy. It's weird since I love a lot of different pairings, but when it comes to fanfic, I generally read just Spuffy. Oh, and some Willow/Tara, come to think of it, but not much.

Strangely, I have lately started reading Buffy/Willow. Nothing lezzery, I just started thinking how much I miss their friendship from the early seasons so I started looking up fics that aim to amend the writers' shortcomings. Any suggestions?

I quite like the idea of some fiction from Anya's point of view, I suppose it could be in relation to Xander, Spike or Giles, I've had a bit of a search on the internet and I've not been able to find much yet, does anyone know where you could find this kind of fiction?

If I'm looking for a pairing unfamiliar to me, my first port of call is Buffyverse Top 5 on Livejournal. It's a recs comm that's been running for years, so there's loads of recs and lots of diverse pairings.

I've just had a quick look and here's the character tag for Anya, and the pairing tag for Buffy/Willow. There might be something there.

If you like Spuffy, Doppelgang, A Switch in Time by coalitiongirl is a great Anya-related fic - Buffy is sent back in time to season five, but ends up in Anya's body.
