This book is written by Yvonne Navarro. Its set in season 3. There's only a few episode references such as Inca Mummy. Quite a lot of the story at the start focus' on a new character at the school, which I'm not sure how I feel about that, it left less room for Scoobie interaction. Saying that there isnt a lot of dialogue in this book, there are a lot of pages full of action and discriptions. This book is a good example of taking a good idea that couldnt have been shown on tv due to cost. Mainly because Buffy battles a number of dinosaurs mainly T Rex's that are possessed by a demon and at the start of the book Buffy stakes a young girl. Its a good read. There's a side story about Oz and The Dingo's getting signed. I was a bit disappointed with that though, it was anti climactic.

Has anyone else read it?

I reluctantly admit I read this book, it is fairly Oz centric which was a nice change in pace from most other books when it was released but I too felt it was a bit anti-climatic.

IIRC Oz had dinosaur knowledge that came in handy.

What did you think of how the characters were written? Believable?

I thought the characters were well written. Giles and Oz are a bit hit and miss sometimes but I think its really hard to write for Oz because he says so little.
