Parade Magazine Buffy Quiz

I only got two wrong.. one guess (the cemetary, i guessed correctly) got the Texan vamps wrong, and (sadly) Buffy's class title

that quiz is wrong one of the questions is how did spike get his nickname and i clicked on torturig his victims with a railroad spike and they sed it was wrong and gave the explanation for william the bloodys name. Grrrrrr silly quiz!

I only got one wrong and that was because of the whole spike/william the bloody thing

I thought that quiz was pretty average, I hate it when there are individual quiz questions. I would always rather take a quiz the entire way through and then submit it, I have a very short attention span... I got bored at around question 14! Did the questions actually get slightly difficult?

I did the exact same thing...I got bored and just left it...those explanations were especially annoying
i didnt like that quiz the flicking from page to page bugged me also trick questions. x
i did get 42 tho x

32. But, if you count second guesses (and only the actual second guesses! I didnt cheat! honestly!) 43. So, all in all I did quite allright. But I agree, it's quite a shitty test. Especially that you have to keep count of your own right answers and all. :s

Wow, I've really missed the mark somewhere along the line. Spike was named Spike because of that guy saying he'd rather drive a spike through his head because of the poetry? I always assumed that Spike tortured him with a railway spike for saying what he said and that's how he got his nickname.

no you are correct
YAY, I looove quizzes!! 😀

I got 41/50 🙂

One question though asked what problem has Dawn not FACED? The answer was 'being turned into a vampire'. Then it explains that she had to dust the guy she first kissed...yea because technically, he was going to turn her into a vampire or kill her but I think one could still say it is possibly something she faced. Oh well.

I git bored very quickl because I know Buffy that well.

I got 49/50 and I am proud of that because the person who wrote it is a complete retard.

In actuality I got 50 BUT I was told I got one question wrong because Spike got his name from the bloody awful poetry.

Thats bollocks.

He got 'William The Bloody' through that, 'Spike' was torture.

If the answer is the first one, then numpty needs to learn to write questions correctly.

Re: How Spike got his name

In School Hard, Giles said Spike got his name from his love of torturing his victims with railroad spikes.

In Fool for Love, in a flashback, a woman says she'd rather put a railroad spike through her head rather than listen to William the Bloody's poetry.

Choose whichever one you think is correct.

Well I think it's still a tad silly of the maker of the quiz to include that question anyway... It's like asking what did Angel and Buffy do after they met up off screen. We don't know exactly what happened so why have a question about it. I'm stick by my guns though that Spike got his name from driving railway spikes through victims... He got the idea after overhearing someone say that about him. I can picture it right now "Bloody poof, you would rather have a spike through your head then?" *the victim screams* He gains his nickname. Why would Spike have a nickname as a vampire about his poetry. He wouldn't nickname himself after something nasty said about him, his victims wouldn't have had much of a chance, and the fanged four would not have known about it. He got his nickname from torturing people. Plain and simple.

I agree. That's another question that I answered & then it said I was wrong...I was like what?! I know it's because he used railroad spikes.

This is the place the question fall down.
Spike IS a nickname.
When a person becomes a vampire, they retain the human name UNTIL the time they decide to change it.

William was already refered to as William the Bloody in human form, Spike was the name he gave himself post death.

So, had the question been 'How did William get his nickname?' then you have the answer 'bloody awful poetry' BUT if you ask about Spike, well Spike is already a demon AND its the nickname he has given himself - or chosen to go by - thus the origins of that is the answer.

45/50. Most of the questions I got wrong were either about Angel or Spike. I was never a big fan of either.
