Parallels with Mass Effect?

If anyone here has played the most awesome XBox 360 game Mass Effect, can you see any paralells with Firefly here? A ragtag group of hero type characters, roving around in space on their ship, plagued by an evil force that lives beyond the known reaches of space...see what I mean?

Yes there are some similarities. I didnt really care for the game though. Combat controls are awful.

I love Mass Effect. I was pleasantly surprised by Seth Green's voice contribution! BUT Not far enough in the game to really determine similarities but yes the overall theme does seem familiar 🙂

I bought it but i'm yet to play it, I haven't finished the main story yet, plus I have L.O to finish and that game is 4 disc's long.
