This is one..well 2 eppys..that just really pissed me off..how he pretended to be interested in her..and he slept with her and never spoke to her again..plus he wasn't even cute..it was just so messed up..I wish she could have staked :judge: him..what do you guys think?

Well, without sounding too uncaring (because i would probably have punched him out for doing that to Buffy too), that was just typical teenage college boy behaviour, in my opinion. It happened all the time when i was at college and no doubt it's still going on today. Not saying it's a good thing but it is true to life.

Little tip to any girls in college right now, if a guy seems overly sensitive and too good to be true, he probably is! 😉
 
Good advixe Watcher. (Long time no see, btw! (((Watcher)))) I agree that it sucks, but hey, there are jerks out there. I disagree that Parker wasn't cute. I thought he was adorable. He had very pretty eyes

Parker was not nice! He wasn't good looking at all IMO. During Season 4 I kept hoping that Buffy would find out that he was a demon or a vamp, so that she could kill him. But no such luck. Unfortunately though there are guys like him in the world. Good advice The Watcher.
 
It wasn't very nice what he did to Buffy....he should have been more clear about his intentions in the beginning.

I think it was good that they decided to do this with the show though because it's something that happens in college and I think it helped show that Buffy (even though she's a slayer) is still also just a regular girl going through real stuff that people go through.
 
I don't understand why people can't just admit that Adam Kaufman is a cutie. It's like people who say Riley is ugly. What's up with that? Dislike the character all you like, but WOW. Ok, so Parker was a jerk. But man oh man, Adam is good-looking! I TOTALLY understand how Buffy could fall for his crap. He has those big, pretty puppy eyes!

I found Riley good looking but Parker was repulsive in my opinion....I wouldn't have gone near him if you paid me. Ick.
 
Well each to their own, but personally Parker or Riley were not my type. I just didn't find them attractive. I like rugged good looks, not pretty boys. That's how Buffy fell into the Parker trap. She liked his big eyes, but after Angel I thought Buffy would have had better taste in men.

Parker was definitely not attractive - not that i even find David Boreanaz attractive anyways, but I'm just weird like that. I was always a big fan of Riley and Xander...ooh and Wesley in Season 4.
 
Personally, neither Riley nor Parker were my type, way too ... MALE!!! 😀

As for the guy advice, just call me Dr. Rob. Just like Dr. Phil but younger and with more hair! 😉
 
OK, yeah, it's a personal opinion whether or not Adam Kaufmann is attractive. But I just don't think it's fair to judge him on his character's actions. But objectively, I can see how some people wouldn't find him attractive. And yes, Parker was a complete jerkface.
 
Awww hun, sorry to hate that, but I think I speak for most girls when I say it happens to the best of us.

I know I hated Parker because I could relate to what Buffy was going through.

Yeah, such is the way of scumbag males. (Those males who choose to be scum, not all males are like this)

On the topic of attractiveness, Parker was nice-looking, and Riley was hot. Those actors were very attractive men. It just sucks that they didn't make either a A)good impression or B) lasting impression.
 
Yeah, Parker really was a jerk... it's too bad, Buffy SHOULD have staked him *sniff, sniff* 🙁

But I think it was also a good show to do, it kind of showed that not all relationships are happy, long-lasting, and you know dancing-through-the- flowers type deal, and it is a true situation that happens out there. One thing that the show always seemed to do that I really admire is have a great grasp on reality. Given, that's a bit odd for a sci-fi show, but even though it had a fantasy-ish theme it touched on many issues that are very real in our society; whether it be with metaphors or actual situations they put the characters in.
 
At least she got to hit him on the head in Beer Bad....I always liked that! Yeah, Parker was a jerk....a good-looking jerk....but still a jerk. Riley was good-looking, too (I mean, let's face it, it's TV after all...they're not going to get unattractive people) but I just didn't feel he was right for Buffy. She admitted herself, she likes her men like she likes her evil - EVIL. Riley was too.....nice.
 
I didn't like him but I did like the storyline - it's something which happens to a lot of people, mainly girls lol, and I just liked the fact they touched on that issue.
