Parker screwing Buffy over (literally)

I did like him. Did like the flirt. Of course ended bad. But at least he didn't physically hurt Buffy.
 
Yeah Parker was kinda an ass but (dont hate me for this guys) I understood his position. Been there and done that myself. The guys in college. He wanted to have fun. He couldve been more honest about what he wanted but I think Buffy was a bit naive.

Guys are like that. But so are girls. Buffy got attatched, which sucks, but it happens. Not all 19/20 year old guys are after commitment. They shouldnt be punished for that.

However his actioins afterward were bad. Like what he said to Riley, Forrest and Graham for example.

So dont hate me for taking his side but thats life.

Sometimes, emotionally hurting someone can be worse than physically. Just look at Drusilla..

But ya im not in the Parker camp since he was a jerk but he was an everyday jerk that I see roaming the halls of my highschool so it was nice to see how real the charecter was protrayed.
 
Parker was frikken awesome. You can't fault a guy for having sneaky methods. Heck, is it his fault Buffy was an idiot? Hell, no. All he did was take Faith's philosophy from season 3, and adapt it a little.

Faith: Want. Take. Have.
Parker: Want. Take. Skedaddle as fast as your legs will take you onto the next target.

Let's say they are equally bad, shall we? Drusilla was emotionally hurt, yes, but it is hinted that Angelus did hurt her physically too (maybe he raped her, or beat her, of course the fact that he killed her tops all), but only after torturing and killing her family as she witnessed that all. Which did drive her crazy more? Who knows? But the fact remains that those two had affected her. As for Parker, he only did hurt Buffy emotionally, I don't claim that it is a good thing but I say at least he did not hurt her physically also. Like Spike did.

Being hurt physically can cause emotional pain as well. Like for example rape "“ most people would probably not feel super great about that after the physical pain is over.. It's usually the psychological one that stays, that's the part you can't forget as easily.
 
yes rape isn't just physically,or emotionally, it is almost mentally. What Parker did was pretty horrible..but Angel was a brutal vampire..and what he did to Dru, and what she did to Spike was completely horrible.

Well what really pissed me off was how Buffy could have moved on so quickly after Angel left town, but then I watched the DVD commentaries and I found out they had to cut out alot of brooding over Angel stuff in order to fit the time slot. You know Parker is kind of like a college version of Scott only Parker is ten times the scumbag because Buffy slept with him and not Scott. This thread is making me hate men more and more :soapbox:
 
I reckon that Buffy liked the attention that Parker was giving her after Angel had left, she didnt really ahve anyone to be close to, and Parker was to the first guy after Angel to give her a second glance.

Admittedly what he did was wrong, leading her on and making her feel like something more was goin to come out of that night, but Buffy shouldnt have been a ho and gone along with it!

I did like Riley though! He seemed geniune enough!
 
Yeah I must admit I did like Parker before he used Buffy. Although I was suspicious of him, when Buffy walked in to find her room mate and him flirting, it made me wonder about him. But then he started acting all sweet again so I was like Blah! Then he used her!!!!

That was it for me Parker was on the most hated list.
 
I have to agree, at first i thought Parker was really nice and i thought this could be a potential love for Buffy he seemed really down to earth and so nice. What an act that was, i can not believe he used her for one thing and then left her. I felt so bad for buffy as she really too it hard.

After what he had done i hated him. 🙂

Nope as i also prefered Parker to Riley, i am not sure what it was about Riley but i just didn't like him, i liked Parker better. 🙂
 
Parker was a total waste of time.

He wasn't cute at all. I love it when Buffy hits him with the stick in "Beer Bad"

Poor Buffy falling for it. Love how Willow saw right through him.

I was happy when Riley showed some interest. I'm glad that he was the rebound guy and not Riley. Will Riely was...I think I should save that comment for another threat
