So i was in on a conversation and had made a joke about Parker. I was wondering if anyone liked him? I will say he had pretty blue eyes but is there anyone who loved Parker and would defend his honor on this board?:biggrin3:

I happened to did like Parker to begin with but then I went off him. Would he of been a better boyfriend than Riley for Buffy in the end? I think so.

I can actually see that because maybe Parker could have improved now we will never know.

Parker is ordinary guy. He just blends in the backround. He's like most of the guys out there.. Guy see a girl, guy is nice to a girl, girl thinks "This one is different", guy takes advantage of the girl, girl ends up in tears. He's a jerk, but he's not the only one.

I don't hate Parker. The way I saw it, Parker was an ordinary college guy. He wanted to get some, then get gone. He never made any false pretenses to Buffy about wanting a relationship from her; she just assumed that, which is what most girls do. I don't think Parker's a monster or overly horrible... I don't like him that much, either, but I didn't wish him an ill-fated death or anything like that.

Really?
It's intersting!
Why do you think so?
Because he wouldn't be as "Man-strong-Woman weak- Buffy too strong" as Riley?

Her having someone that was normal would of made a nice change!

Yeah, it would have been nice that she dates a real normal guy, not a normal-guy-who-is-part-of-a-governmental-demonhunters-association!

I begin to wonder how would things have turned if Cave-Buffy didn't hit Parker in the end of Beer bad 😀

The guy was an idiot. To be lucky enough to be involved with Buffy and then casually say it didn't mean anything is absolutely bizarre to me. What more could he want? I'll also coin a phrase that Giles mentioned on the show which is very much British. Pillock.

LMAO thanks for reminding me of that scene! 🙂
I wonder too because yes he was a horndog but what guy isn't at that age? I don't mean to be offensive to men that age but I am saying it isn't to out of the ordinary. I would have just liked to see if Buffy could be the one to change him and maybe who knows we could have had Puffy 🙂

The idea of Puffy is something i don't want to think about. The guy doesn't deserve to be in anyway associated with her. If there is someone i despise in the show its probably Parker.

A Buffy/Parker relationship might have worked out if he had been a somewhat more considerate guy (I can't see, hear, or think of him without hie "toilet seat" comment coming to mind, and there's absolutely no excuse for anyone ever saying such a thing). I think that it would have worked best if she had seriously tried to conceal her identity from her, trying to have a completely normal girl/boy relationship, making for a reverse gender Clark Kent/Lois Lane relationship.

Yeah any sympathy I might have had for him was pretty much killed with that comment.

I just think Parker was far too conceited. He was like a little boy constantly trying to please his Id. He served his purpose but I wouldn't have wanted to see him stick around

Can someone give me a full quote in regard to the "toilet seat" comment. I think i vaguely remember it but not in its entirety.

It was something like "You guys know the difference between a toilet seat and Buffy? The toilet seat doesn't follow you around when you've used it!"

I don't remember if it was the difference between a toilet seat and Buffy or a toilet seat and a girl, but that always shocked me!

To Riley he says about Buffy that she's okay but kind of whiney, then he says "You know the difference between a freshman girl and a toilet seat? A toilet seat doesn't follow you around after you use it."

He's a real class act if you ask me.
