Partial Eclipse this Evening! (UK)

We'll be able to see a partial eclipse today - other countries will get a full one - and it's clear enough that it's going to be visible.

Sadly, I expect tomorrow there will be reports of people causing themselves damage observing it.

Cool! I didnt know about this! I guess it isnt visible from this angle. I love looking at the shadows the trees leaves make during an eclipse.

Yes its always a strange atmosphere isnt it! Duno if psychological or physical changes in the air when the suns rays are blocked, even a bit. All the animals and bugs sense it as well. The world goes a bit eerie.

I think it might have been less weird at totality if that had happened? Because then it would have been dark. But the blue skies and sun well above the horizon yet having it at least as gloomy as twilight just felt wrong. It probably does have a psychological effect.

Yes I saw it, the one in 2003 was much more eventful but it was still good 🙂

There was a total eclipse of Great Britain from here. Mind you there usually is, GB being so far away and on the other side of the world.
