found this to be rather poor follow-up to such an outstanding episode like Hero.

Plus I can't stand Wesley.

But this law firm Wolfram and Hart has picqued my curiosity.

I though Wesley was good in this episode, I wasn't a fan of him at first, especially not in BtVS but he grows on you I think.
 
Don't be too harsh on Wesley. I think you'll find he grows on you.

I know I'm easy talking, because I've already seen s5. I never really liked or disliked him in BtVS, so it was surprising for me to find myself liking him in s5 of Angel.
 
If you don't like Wes now, give him time. He changes so much over the next few seasons that you'll barely recognize the guy by season four. And Alexis Denisof really gets to show some acting chops. I actually even kind of like goofy, stupid Wes that we see on Buffy season 3/Angel season 1, but he turns into probably the best character on the show.

Agreed. Wesley is my favorite male character on Angel.

Wesley becomes a better fighter and hunter, I must see this.
 
I tried looking for a brief video of the later, more badass Wes that wasn't too spoilerish to post as a teaser for you, but I couldn't find anything.
 
Basically, you should love wr&h and Wes soon enough. Decent episode too. But the 2nd half of s1 is better than the 1st. The last 2 discs are amazing.
 
I'm just at the end of Season 4, and of course there is a chance that you will just never like the character of Wesley, but i just fell in love with him over the course of Angel. I mean we all know that I have a thing for watcher types, but really... He just gets yummy.
