No...seriously, stay with me, here.

Paul Bettany, best known in the Marvel world for voicing Jarvis, Tony Stark's helpful A.I. system, will be playing the Vision in Marvel's "The Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Production starts next month, with director Joss Whedon and cast members like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. The Vision was an android created by the robotic villain Ultron, who was meant to be one of Ultron's henchmen but who instead turns against him and becomes a hero.

That's...so is he still going to be JARVIS? I'm so confused right now.

I don't know if the Vision and Jarvis will have anything to do with each other in The Avengers 2. Probably not.
Either way, I don't really see a problem. He's only Jarvis' voice, he could easily act as a second character. On animated series, like, for example, The Simpsons or Family Guy, there are often many different characters voiced by the same voice actor. So as long as Bettany won't use Jarvis' signature voice as the Vision, it shouldn't really be a problem.

This is cool.

I'd say Jarvis and Vision will be the same thing in some way, Once they had one of the Iron Man suits independently attack Pepper in IM3 I thought it would go that way. In the movie verse it makes sense that Tony would build Vision and Jarvis would be the foundation for that.

Or I guess they could keep the Ultron building him story from the comics, like have him build him based on IMs OS.

I'd be surprised if there is not a connection between the two, since it's an easy story to build from how they set Jarvis up and how much Tony used Jarvis.

Spoiler for IM3:

It could even be one of the suits goes rogue after Tony asked for them all to be destroyed, once becomes more sentient, Jarvis is basically an operating system so it could easily be developed from the original Jarvis.

I'm not familiar with Vision (or is it the Vision?). Is Vision a robot? In that case, Jarvis could indeed be the basis of Vision. I guess then Bettany would be playing pretty much the same character. That would make sense.

I'm not to up on him, like I have no clue if it's Vision, or The Vision, lol.

But yeah he's a robot, or an android more specifically. He's some kind of like living robot thing, he can be harmed and stuff, but he doesn't have natural organs and runs on an operating system, I'm sure someone else can be more specific, but I know he is a robot fundamentally.

So there is definitely a possibility Jarvis could be, at least, the starting point for his operating system. It would be odd for both to have that connection and not be connected?

Okay, thanks. Yeah, it would be really weird if there was no connection. But, in my opinion, stuff like this makes the plot really interesting.
I'm really looking forward to it. It's my second most anticipated movie of 2015 (after Jurassic World). I kind of feel like it's going to be even better than the first Avengers.

I have not heard of his work in the Marvel World though I do know of his work in other films. He is one of the better actors at the moment. The films I have seen him in are The DaVinci Code (the monk), A Knight's Tale (Chaucer), Legion (Michael),
Priest (Priest). I'd recommend Priest, nice looking vampires in this film.
