I can't help thinking about the Jackie Chan hoax a few weeks ago, and wonder if this is something like that, especially with the irony of it being in. a car crash. Apparently, though, a whole lot of web sites are carrying it, so, tragically, it must be true.

Yes, I saw this about an hour ago. It's sad. While I wasn't overly familiar with him as an actor, I enjoyed his movies. I hate seeing stories like this.

I can't believe he was 40! He looks way way younger then 40.

The pictures of the car are horrific, the car is barely recognisable as a car after the accident.

I hate that they have released the image of the wreck. He has a 15 year old daughter, family, friends, fans even... do they really need such a graphic image of what was surely a truly gruesome and horrific death.

Apparently some sickos do. On one of the web sites I looked at, someone was asking where they could see pictures of the bodies. Sickening.

I never realized how big of a fan base he had until this story broke, but everybody on facebook is talking about it. Guess I never realized how popular he was because the tabloid media rarely talked about him since he stayed out of trouble.

BTW a detail I found even sadder is the fact that he was coming from a fundraiser for a charity that he founded. A celeb who actually wants to help others dead at 40.

I honestly had no idea who he was until last night (I've never seen any of his movies), but a death like his is always sad.

It's so sad! And I think they were in the middle of shooting another Fast and the Furious movie too. I always thought he was a cutie his eyes were soo pretty smh. RIP Paul Walker

I saw this just as I was heading for bed, but I stayed up until 4am until their was official confirmation. TMZ reported it first, as they were apparently 'first on the scene', them their site was taken down, which sparked people into thinking that TMZ had been wrong, as there had been a hoax about his death a few days before. But then the horrible confirmation broke from his reps on his official Twitter and Facebook.

To be honest, I'm still hoping it's a hoax. As naive as that may be.

The F&F movies are my mother's favorite movies, it's what we bond over, our go to movies when we just wanna veg out. It's sad to know that that's tainted now, that the sadness will always be there whenever we watch these movies.

Apparently, the new Fast and Furious, which they have been filming since September and was due to be released in July, will be postponed, but not scrapped. I imagine that the script will have to be changed, but I wonder what they'll do with Brian's character. I don't think I want them to kill him off. That would be in very, very poor taste.

I was totally shocked to hear this sad news.

Paul Walker seemed like a pretty nice guy in real life - never let the fame get to his head, always had time for his fans and did a lot of work for various charities.

I feel like we've lost one of the good guys. 🙁

I am sickened by all the videos/photos of his death I am seeing online. I know humans are morbid sometimes but that is just disgusting. And disrepectful to his family and friends.
