Sarah Michelle Gellar is reportedly being offered a lucrative deal to carry on slaying for an eighth season of Buffy.

Despite rumours that Sarah intends to quit the hit TV show, the Teen Television website claims that Buffy bosses will try to woo her back with a deal which would pay her $750,000 per episode for a limited number of appearances next season.

Following the huge box office success of Scooby Doo, the 25-year-old actress has been widely expected to hang up Mr Pointy and devote more time to her Hollywood film career when her seven-year contract runs out at the end of the present season of Buffy.

Now thats alot of money. I'm guessing that if they're offering her that much money then they are seriously wanting to do an eighth season. Plus remember that NB, AH, JM, and MT still have 2 years left in their contracts. So I'm guessing that Joss will want to exploit that somehow.
 
Wow, that's an aweful lot of money, sure hope she does it. And it's nice to hear they want to make another season.
 
Well how much is she getting paid right now? ...And I don't think it's the money that's making her quit anyway.
 
I have no idea. I will try to find out though. That would be really interesting to know. Too bad its not like the last season of Friends, where they paid them 1 million dollars an episode. Now that would be alot of money. I hope she stays on as well.
 
I would've thought that Sarah was already receiving that much money for the show by now.

Actually, I just saw in the newspaper today that Friends is going on for a tenth season. Wonder if they're getting paid even more for one more year...
 
Hmmm, your right. She should have been getting paid that much by now. And Friends doing a 10th season? Wow, you know that they prolly got offered even more money for that! 😀
 
Especially since this season has been very good so far, I think they could still go on for an eighth season if Sarah stayed. I really hope that she accepts the offer (unless its all just a rumor).
 
I didn't think she was leaving because of the money either, FivebyFive. She said she wants it to go out great and not go overboard ala X-Files. That is a ton of money but I wouldn't be suprised if she doesn't accept the offer (of course, I wouldn't be dissapointed if she accept it 😀)
 
Well, I thought I read something somewhere that said she'd be willing to stay if the ratings came back. I don't know where the ratings are, but the fans are happier this season than last season, so that might persuade her to stay.
 
Not to mention that the switch to UPN influenced the ratings aswell!

All actors/actresses care loads about the money 😉

She is currently paid 120 000$ per episode.
 
Razekiel, do you know how much the others are paid? Because I would LOVE to know if you don't mind... please?... 🙂
 
on imdb.com it says
SMG - $350,000
Alyson Hannigan - $250,000 per episode
Nicholas Brendon - $300,000
 
Looks like one of you is wrong. And why would Alyson get less than Nicholas?
 
That was my first thought too, maybe those to were turned around, but I think the $ 350,000 makes more sense then the $120, 000, which seems like very little to me. So they offered her a 100% raise, that's very very much.
 
Kinda odd that Alyson has less... ?? After all she is at the end of the credit.... and last season she seemed more important than Nick....(IMHO)

ps: Thanks bean 😀 But were on imdb can I how found how much the actors are getting paid?? I can't seem to find it...
 
Its possible for S7 they gave her a raise from 120 to 350, cause last info I had was of S6 😉
