Peanut butter in Rm w/a Vu...

I don't know if this has been asked before but I am currently re watching Angel and as I was watching Rm w/a Vu I of course came across the reference to the peanut in the bed from when Angel becomes human and Buffy and him re unite in I Will Remember. This never normally bothered me but after thinking about it i remembered that... Rm w/a Vu is 3 episodes before I will remember you...

The Oricals say the day will disappear as though it never happened not that it happened in the past... so how is there peanut butter on the bed?

Maybe I am over thinking it, can anyone else explain this for me please?

I would consider it a plot hole. Rm with a View was probably written around the same time as IWRY and the writers messed up the chronology. Either that or Angel got a late night craving for Reese's Pieces.
 
Room w/a View was before IWRY, so I don't think it's neither a plot hole nor a reference.
 
Angels reaction to it though is he becomes angry and says "i don't eat" it just seems like he just realised it must of been from that day but no one else would know...
It could be from cordy because she says something along the lines of she dosent eat/like it...

I could be wrong though, maybe it's just me trying to hard to look for something.
 
In another thread it was talked about IWRY coming before Rm w/a Vu, if this was supposed to happen then it could have in a mistake by the Orcales(sp?) and a way for Angel to bring up what happened.

Even if Cordy didn't eat it/like, there's a chance she stepped in some in her apartment. I wonder if the other people who have lived there was any cleaner.

But did she really say she never eats any? It could be old.
 
Didn't Fred eat it when watching Cordelia? It was at Cordelia's apartment, so I'm guessing it belonged to her. Of course she could have bought it for Fred...

I remember it vagually, so maybe that never happened...

Fred wasn't in season 1
 
I know Room with a View is before IWRY, I just meant that if all the writers were breaking their stories at the same time, Jane Espenson may have forgotten that it was supposed to come before IWRY. In reality it was probably just inserted in there to be funny and not meant to be about the IWRY episode.

I just assumed that Cordy ate it in Angel's bed when she stayed the night and then feigned innocence (Angel taking the couch of course, I can't imagine Cordy would have slept on in it 😉)

Haha I googled this because I found that moment so weird...yet funny. I just can't picture Cordelia eating peanut butter in bed. I can't really remember how that scene plays out, doesn't Angel ask why there's peanut butter in his bed? I don't know why he would ask if it was from when he ate it with Buffy because he remembers that day.

Ahh so confuzzling.
 
I always thought it was just a call back to the peanut butter reference in Room w/a Vu.
I thought Cordelia actually got peanut butter int he bed and was playing innocent.
Next thing you know Buffy is requesting peanut butter in Angel's bed once again. I think it was supposed to be more of a funny in joke.
Although I have wondered if Room w/a vu was supposed to have originally aired after IWRY. I know a lot of shows have episodes that get swapped around in airing from the way it was originally supposed to go.
