Penny Dreadful: City of Angels

Canceled after one season. Oh good news! Now if I could turn back time and never watch it in the first place.

“Showtime has decided not to move forward with another season of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels,” per Variety. “We would like to thank executive producers John Logan, Michael Aguilar and the entire cast and crew for their outstanding work on this project.”

Seriously, it was horrible, just horrible. Especially with it's, what I would consider brown face, character played by Dormer.

Got to agree (I know gasps 😲) with @Spanky here. Gave up like half way thru this spinoff.
Wanted to like this show. Had pretty good cast (Dormer, Lane, Perabo & Bishe), but ended up being a white hot mess! 😩

Gave up like half way thru this spinoff.

I had to watch it till the end. I couldn't stop watching it because I couldn't believe it could actually be as bad as it was. But it was.

If they would have started the race war like they alluded to in the first episode instead of resetting everything and it being the other brother, it would have at least... done something. But damn, they filmed an entire season for it only to end where the first episode started.

and yes @HowiMetdaSlayer I loved HACF.
