After just watching Angelus easily take a bite out of Faith in season 4 of Angel it got me thinking about the fights we saw in both shows.

Looking at Spike, Angel, Faith and Buffy i sort of have it in my mind that Buffy was without question the better fighter.

Buffy got the better of Angelus and Faith whilst she constantly got the better of Spike whenever they fought.

Angel came out on top against Spike on every occasion bar the time in season 5 where Spike finally defeated him. Nevertheless Angel must be considered the better fighter because he racked up the most wins.

I'd also argue that Angel/Angelus was a lot stronger than Faith. Going back to season 3 Angel comfortably dealt with whatever Faith through at him in "Enemies".

The one battle i struggle to come to a conclusion with is Faith vs Spike. The brief battle we saw in the last season of Buffy appeared to be quite even, making it hard for me to decide who was the better warrior.

In terms of a ranking system for me Buffy is comfortably sitting on top of the tree and Angel earns the right to come in second.

What's your ideas on who dominated certain fights between certain people?

Haha this is funny 😛 If I just take these four you named, it's kinda hard to say anyone is stronger. Sure, Buffy usually won against EVERYONE, but that's because she was the protagonist. They were not competitors in a fight club or something. So I wouldn't go and claim Buff was the best fighter. It just HAD to be like that.

But since these are boards where we talk about our favorite show for fun, i'll give my list!

I don't think the fight between Angel and Faith in "Release" is necessarily evidence of anything much, given that Faith was doped up on Orpheus, and likely still recovering from being beaten half to death by the Beast. The fact that she even put up the fight she did is pretty impressive.

I also think Buffy is the strongest, then Angel, then Faith or Spike. Faith is admirable for what she did with Angelus and the Beast. She was out of the picture for three years and all of a sudden she has to face a very powerful vampire and an undefeatable Rock! She stood her ground just fine. But she defeated Angelus with a trick, so I think Angel/us is a better fighter than her. Of course, if she had trained properly for those 3 years she would be much more experienced.
