I'll be happy to sigh your petition, though there's just enough synic in me to seriously doubt that it'll do a whole lot of good. Once the Powers That Be Fox decide to axe a series, it's fate is pretty much sealed. Joss and company might be able to use something like this to convince Syfy to accept them, but the reduction in potential budget might make that impossible as well.

Cynic or not, I really hope that we can have some degree of success, even if it only results in a direct to DVD movie.

I'm not denying you the opportunity to have your petition, go nuts, I'm just saying that it will inevitably be ineffectual and it isn't exactly fair, either. Whedon was given more than a fair chance with Dollhouse and couldn't perform, I can't imagine that FOX are particularly pleased that the fans of a show that has already lost them money are launching all of their vitriol now rather than being able to empathise with the decision.

i just wanted to say that i love the banner! it's not bad quality! it's better than i could ever do, lol.
I was just thinking about about this while we were out to dinner, and I do recall that we got up a petition that actually did get the original "Star Trek" renewed for a third, and, sadly, final, season, and I honestly do believe that our "Give Spike A Soul" campaign on the official BTVS fan forum site helped to bring that about, so there actually IS some small glimmer of hope. Maybe it will be enough. Stranger things have happened. Our current President proves that.

Great idea though. I hope we get the results we want from it!
 
To be honest I think it's a lost cause but it doesn't take a lot of time and no harm is coming from it so of course I signed.

Signed, of course. Probably IS a lost cause, but at least the show should not disappear without any kind of (friendly) noise from the fans. No death-threats though, as the FOX people seem to be fearing...

And I know there's been alot of this on this thread so far, but I think this petition might be a bit of a lost cause. FOX can be so stupid! But even though I think this may be kinda pointless, I'm still going to get all of my friends to sign, even the ones that dont watch Dollhouse. 🙂
