Was there ever any mention of Phantom Dennis after Cordy became a Higher Being, or is the poor guy still waiting patiently for her to return from her meeting with Angel? I can't find any mention whatsoever of him after the end of Season 3.

What made me think of this is the ending of an old movie called "The Ghost And Mrs Muir," and what a great final scene to "Thank You" that might have been.
 
The only thing I remember was when Fred and Gunn went to her apartment in the beginning of S4 and Fred says "Damnit Dennis, she's not coming back!"
 
Well the thing is....can he even leave the apartment if he wanted to?

The way I always understood it, he was sort of bound to the place, due to his death.
So if that really is the case, what else but wait for Cordelia could he do?

But also, I think new people moved into the place anyway after sometime. I vaguely remember Fred saying they couldn't pay the rent anymore, and a pretty apartment like that wouldn't stay free for long. So I think we can assume Denis is haunting some unknowing people now 😉

If they are unknowing then he is not doing a very good job of haunting
I always felt so sorry for Phantom Dennis, and it was kinda sweet that he took care of her, but also kinda warped if you think about the scene where he's scrubbing Cordy with the loofah... LOL

Aw, poor Dennis! I'm sure someone else moved into Cordy's place and he haunts them to this day. 🙂

I liked Dennis. Always taking care of Cordy and the gang when they came by and visited. I like the part in Season 1 of "Angel" when Cordy has that Party and Angel goes into the kitchen. Dennis pulls out a chair and gives him a beer. lol. He's a cool character, wish he stuck around longer. Even if he was a ghost.
 
I loved Dennis, he was so sweet. There wasn't any more scenes with him and Cordy after she came back, I think he would have missed her. 🙁
