Phobias

I hate snakes.

I hate anything that doesn't blink.

I've never thought about that blinking one. That seems horrifying though. Like you have to blink sometime and what will happen during that split second you're not looking. Ahh!
Have you seen Daniel Radcliffe's video for the Trevor Project? He doesn't blink a single time, he says all his text like that: O.O

I thought snakes had a third eyelid or something so they kind of blink? I duno I dont get that close to them, considering the ones around here are deadly.

I have pretty bad social anxiety but apart from that I dont have any real phobias. I hate cockroaches! Im ok with little spiders but squeal at big ones - unless they are a little way away from me. I think Im getting more and more wimpy as I get older.

There are even Youtube Vloggers who are known for not blinking. (zefrank, and the vlogbrothers). I don't know why, but you will hardly ever see John Green blink in his videos... lolol ahem, sorry, off topic

I've always been afraid of spiders. I have to check all my covers at night, clothes, inside shoes, etc.

I'm also really awful when it comes to haunted houses for some reason. I hadn't been to a haunted anything in years, so some friends and I went to a haunted corn maze a few weeks ago. I could hear chainsaw men in the corn before we even went in, and I was so scared I couldn't even make my feet move to go in. A trio of 8-year-old girls ended up convincing me to go in. It was so embarrassing. I mostly closed my eyes and held my fiance's hand really tightly the whole way through!

I am absolutely terrified of spiders, as many others. I can't stand them. If I see one I run screaming out of the room and cry out for help to my family. They're disgusting. *shudder*

I also really don't like clownes, does anyone here? I can look at one but if I see one in real life I either hide or punch them.

Other than that I don't think I have any other phobias. I'm kind of socially awkward but that's not really a phobia. I just don't like to be around a large crowd or people I don't know, except for the internet. ^^
I'm sort of afraid of time also. Just, not having enough time to do all of the things I want to do or be really disappointed when I die. I want to live a long and exciting life, and achieve all of my goals. 😀

My phobia was always there, inside of me. Only I didn't know it was a phobia, I just didn't notice. I fear of water. Which means I can't get near the ocean (the waves really scare me), or the pool, and when I shower I can't put my face under the running water. I said it was always printed inside me and haven't noticed. because I remember the swimming lessons when I was little, and I hated that. Didn't know why exacly, but I always used to freak a little when I attended to those lessons. I didn't freak out out loud, I just felt I couldn't breath, because under water you cannot breath. Maybe that's what scares me about water. Don't take it wrong, I drink water. But to actually get into one or being near a lot of water (such as in the ocean or the pool), even if it's just a small lake with fish that I walk along or next to... I feel like I can't breath and want to cry. I just panic.

It's okay, my son hates water too. We went to a swim party last weekend and he was so proud of himself for finally going swimming. He didn't get in past mid thigh though, and held onto the side the entire time. It was kinda cute though........
Spiders - can't go near them, I was upstairs once and there was one on the stairs, I had to climb out of the bathroom window onto the kitchen roof to go to the neighbours so they could get rid of it for me.

That is gold!!
Spiders don't really bother me unless they're REALLY big, like a tarantula. My husband got bit by a brown recluse last year and we thought he was going to lose a foot, so you think we'd all be scared of them, but we're not...

All this posting in the Vegetarian thread has brought up another one of mine: Cattle. Yes, I know it is really odd, especially since I live in the land o' the cow. But have you ever seen one up close?? They are creepy. All buggy eyes and lolling heads. Ew. I used to be afraid when I was a kid and my dad would take me to different farm ponds to go fishing that they would come charge at me and crush me to death. I'm alright with them as long as there's something in between me and them. But they are not cute creatures.

Cows have no manners.

They really don't. And they poop alot too, and that's gross.
I have way too many phobias unfortunately! My main one would be dogs i guess, absoloutely terrified of them! When i was a kid I figured when I was older I would magically not be afraid of them anymore, but sadly it's not the case! I'm also quite afraid of trying out new things. Once I do them,it's usually fine, but I can be quite stubborn and usually need to be convinced into doing them!

aw, dogs are cute! They're man's best friend. My dog is my best friend, she's just amazing! Hope you'll get over that one day
I have a pathological fear of daddy-long-legs (or crane flies, if you prefer). I know they're harmless, but they look so shrivelled up and dead, and when I hear that rattling noise they make when flying against a window, I'm ready to freak out. Thankfully, I live in a larger city now where I've never come across one, but when I'm at home, there's always MASSES of them (esp in autumn) and my dad has to come and rescue me.

Also, I really, really, really hate syringes and basically anything doctors do with needles, to the point where I absolutely avoid seeing a doctor even (or esp) when I'm sick. I know it's potentially dangerous (I haven't been vaccinated in about ten years) and I know I really have to get over it, but I just can't face it. I do go for annual check-ups and suchlike, but never when I display actual symptoms (i.e. when there's the risk the doctor will actually DO something). Thankfully I rarely get sick.. but I'm dreading next year when I have to get a work visa for Russia, because they require an HIV test and they have yet to invent a non-invasive method to do it 🙁

I fear nothing; not even the Batman. (Looks around to make sure Christian Bale isn't laying in wait.)

I am strangely off put by beautiful women; whenever I see truly breathtaking females in person I flash on my adventures as a freshman in high school. It's not a phobia so much as just an irrational desire not to have any social interaction with them. I think it's some kind of built in instinct to not subject myself to humiliation. Spike's not the only one to have a bad memory involving bloody awful poetry in his younger years.

I wouldn't worry about Bale as the Batman......but you should worry about Bale as the BATEMAN. :p
Spiders, I can't even use my bicycle for several days after it's been raining cos I know spiders hide from the rain under the seats and they probably stay there for days..
The movie Arachnophobia is like the scariest movie ever to me, I really should stop watching it.

Heights is a big issue
The ocean and all the creatures who live in it, like fish, jellyfish and sharks!
The dark - I have to sleep with a night light still

Stupidity. I was reluctant to add this to my list because I"m not sure being scared of stupidity is irrational... but the more I think about it, the more I find I do have a phobia of stupidity.

Well that's just stupid...did you see what I did there? = )
I dislike spiders and since living on my own have grown a tougher skin for them but I really hate them. I have a special jar - Spider Catcher 3000 - that helps me flush them away. I have a fear of being buried alive, that terrifies me.

I'm scared of all bugs. Especially spiders and roaches. Theyre disgusting and crawly and just UGH yuck.

The creatures under the water in the ocean. *shudders*

Silence. Its creepy, I sleep with the tv on.

I'm terrified of Lightning cause I almot got struck by lightening when I was twelve.

Also Airplanes and even worse being on an airplane with lightening!!! SCARY!! Omg it happened this summer and I started freaking out on the plane lol.

I HATE silence! I always sleep with a fan and a heater on to keep my room a decent temperature although I could turn them down and keep it the same temperature because I can't deal with the silence.
