Here's my picture and description for Temulin:
The infiltration of vampires into the nomadic clans of the Asian steppes in the early 13th century was the trigger for Temulin's activation as the Slayer. Her extended family's massacre at the hands of these demons compelled her brother, then a minor leader of a secondary clan, to unite the tribes and destroy the interlopers. Once unification was complete, her brother's desire for revenge drove him to pursue the demons with the intent to eliminate their presence for all time. Temulin became a trusted and powerful warlord, fully supporting her brother in his endeavours. She was killed during the final assault of their forces on the Great Wall protecting the Song Empire. Her Watcher Xang escaped his captivity, making his way to Beijing, and then eventually to Japan. At his urging, preparations were made in Japan to repel any future invasion attempts by the vampires.

I'm wondering if it's possible to choose a different pic for the timeline once one has been chosen.

I don't know which one would fit the dimensions, but if this is acceptable I'm thinking maybe one of the pics from post 30.
I mean if I can have actual art over an actress picture I'll take art every time. Plus it feels more 10,000 BC, and will fit your timeline index better I think.

I've just finished my 'fic' entitled, 'They Offered Me Friendship'. I haven't figured out how to get a picture to appear here. I know what I'd like though.
A brief description of them would be: GUEN, Slender of body/stature, near waist length fair hair. The usual pictures I've found depict the character in a floor length white dress, Knighting some-one. HOPE I see as very similar in looks and dress to that the actress in Van Helsing, sword in hand [of course].
Story description:
Guen The Vampire Slayer had been brought forward in time to help Hope The Vampire Slayer end the Son of Dracula.
Hope was kept with those that always helped the slayers, the demon hunters. Eventually they were to end the line of the Senoth Demons, those that created the Stone-Circles as useable by demons for transport.

What's this Hope the Vampire Slayer thing? Your story needs to hang together with the rest of the stories in this section or it needs to be in the main fan fic forum.

It's not about doing two time periods, it's that I'm not sure whether what you've written fits in to this project or not.
What is the name of your slayers and what are the dates for each of them?

I responded there was no problem with using historical figures as slayers. But now that I reread both posts I see you're talking about using 2 slayers in the same story.
The problem is there's a format for titling. You'll see it on all the other stories. It goes Slayer name, then date time served as slayer.
So if you're using two in a time travel kind of story it would go something like Hope and Guinevere, May 17 to July 30 2007, and May 16 to May 18 1067
You could then sub-title it inside the thread with your title - They Offered Me Friendhip.
The pic would be tough. I'll give you a pictorial example. I'm not saying these are the pics you'd use.
Basically you've got Hope
and Guinevere
I guess you could put them both together, something like this
That's kind of ugly though don't you think? You could maybe contact one of the banner making artists and request something.
This of course is all contingent on whether this can be done as a Tales of the Slayer story. I'm not sure if I spoke to soon when I said there shouldn't be a problem. I was thinking your only concern was the historical slayer thing.

As long as the story can be fit into the bigger picture, I'm fine with it. But it seems like you have your own universe going on there in that story, which I'm concerned has implications for the other stories around it.

First up, for some reason or other I got it into my head that the date I'd requested for Hope was May 17th to July 30th 2006. The time for Guen was correct. With regard to the content, I had an idea of what I wanted to write but it was not pre-written, all that story was done as I was writing it.

The second picture that you posted is the picture of what Guen was to look like exactly, but not the other, I envisioned her looking more modern.
As for implications for other stories and I'm guessing here, would the last few lines be the problem, when Hope the vampire slayer was created Hope the immortal demon hunter, if so, if the story was to end with the General of the Elite walking towards Hope. That would just as ok.
'Course if that isn't the case, tell me if there is anything I can do to fix the problem and I'll do it straight away.
